This is my third week yea? Im starting my fourth? The days blur together!!

Ha-ha but Im more than

half way through the MTC! Its great!! And dang am I in the luckiest bunch to come the MTC, for several
reasons! 1- Yet another apostle came, which is totally amazing, Ive had Uchtdorf, oaks, Christofferson, and
now HOLLAND... amaaaaaaazing!!! :) and another reason- we get to go to the 'sacred gifts' art exhibit at BYU
today, which is totally not normal to leave the MTC, and plus that exhibit is incredible or so Ive heard, all art
from like Europe which hasnt, and will never again leave Europe, so Im so excited to go see that, and third- for
the first time ever at the MTC, I get to call home on mothers day!! Wooohooooo!!!! :) Yeah. I love it here and
the blessing just keep a coming!! :)

Anyway, the days are pretty routine, but Ill say the exciting stuff!!
Last Thursday, pday, we went to main campus (OH golly, the cafeteria is like 20 times bigger than west
campus, thats not an exaggeration!) we felt like kids on Christmas morning, so much food, but the best part, I
saw my cousin, Michelle!!!! That was SO awesome!! It made my day!!! Seeing a familiar face was just great! it
made me miss all my family, but Im glad I got to see her:) maybe Ill see her again today:) anyway, we also
went to the temple, which is always amazing.. And my district's new favorite song to sing- "TENGO GOZO EN
MI ALMA HOY!!!" yeah. We rock it. :) "I have joy in my soul today"! (The hymn there is sunshine in my soul
today, but translated into Spanish it seems so much happier....or maybe its just the way we sing it, but its so
cheerful and great :))

Friday we taught Raili- who we haven't liked very much, he hasn't progressed all that much, but
Miguel- ah he's my favorite to teach! I love it! We have gotten to a point where we dont need notes, we just
prepare and read scriptures before, but just go in there and talk and teach and it just flows and everything! He
always has so many questions, so it's exciting to answer them and in Spanish its just really fun! And he's
progressing, and everything! When we give him scriptures to read he just totally agrees with them and loves
them! He eats up our work and is so enthusiastic! hes made a total change, because I did not like him at first,
he was so closed off and didnt want to get baptized our first couple of lessons, he was just taking them for his
wife who wanted to learn more, but idk, a change in his heart happened when he started praying and feeling
the spirit our third lesson, now its been several lessons, and our conversations get so deep, and he's so
excited to go to the temple with his family someday, so he wants to get baptized now so that they can strive for
temple marriage... a beautiful thing! Ha-ha but yeah, teaching them is fun, we do it every day but Sunday!
Saturday wasn't anything special, just typical, oh but like every gym time we play foursquare, that is an intense
game, like.... you've never played four square til you've played it with us at the MTC. Its so fun ha-ha-ha but
yeah Saturday we actually played volleyball for a change, that was fun, but a sister in my district rolled her
ankle and has had it wrapped all week...so yeah, back to foursquare!

Sunday was our first fast Sunday- wow. Amazing! The spirit was SO strong that day!! I loved it! Since
the older ones in my district left last week its just been us six sisters, so with no priesthood we had to have our
branch president do the sacrament and all ha-ha but wow. It was really incredible. It was really a humble
meeting, just with the few people together for church - Ive never had sacrament meeting that small- it was such
a testimony that the sacrament is true and important no matter what the size! The church is true all over the
world. And with that proper priesthood authority the sacrament is an incredible incredible thing! Also,
considering it was just the few of us with not a huge vocabulary of Spanish we all had like maybe 30 second
testimonies, but they were SO POWERFUL. The humble testimonies of missionaries learning a new language
is just. Aw. The spirit there was SO strong. I love Sundays :)

Monday we started teaching Nayali too, she's not our teacher, she is like...really real. Maybe... we
don't know, but its like volunteers who come to the MTC to be taught, we only get to teach her for a week, so
tomorrow is our last time, but the lessons have gone well! Its so fun teaching her! Shes so friendly and kind! It
makes me really excited to go to Mexico for real! Ha-ha. She still thinks that her church is good, all churches
are good, and she doesnt realize the importance of joining ours, but its been a good experience teaching her
and learning from her, and the spirit has been there in lessons... she is very open and receptive to it, she just
doesnt realize what it is I guess...

Tuesday was usual for the morning, but like I said before, for devotional we had Elder Jeffrey R
Holland come talk to us! WOW. It was awesome. We sang More Holiness Give Me in the choir, his favorite
song! But anyway, he is so passionate about the gospel. His testimony is so strong!! He talked about our
missionary purpose, which was super great, it came about, like all of PMG came out because missionaries fall
away even after serving missions, and so something had to be wrong, so they came out with PMG to really
help. Holland is crazy! He said he wants to "chase [the missionaries] down and knee them in the throat" who
fall away.... KNEE THEM in the THROAT! Whaaat? That came out of Elder Hollands mouth? yes, yes it did....
he also said that if we EVER EVER fall away from this gospel he would want to 'come haunt us down in the
middle of the night, scratch our windows, and pop the air out of our bicycle tires" ha-ha a side of Holland I
wasnt familiar with! He was so passionate about how this gospel is true and we should never ever fall away!
He also said that people miss their 'old lives' - their "real lives" but he said that our missions are the closest to
"real life" we will ever get. Our entire purpose on earth is to prepare to meet God, and what better way to do
that than by learning of His doctrine and preaching His Gospel... This is REAL real life! Whoa! It was super
great! And he told us that our missions will change our life for the better- we will come home and it will be a
new life, and a better life, and to never ever go back to your old life. Be the changed person, because thats the
better person! he also at the end like completely quoted a talk he's said in the past- the video I posted on
Facebook right before I came out, yeah- it was that talk but like, hour version! he quoted word for word the
things he said in that video, ha-ha-ha it was cool, like, most people havent heard it before, but I had, but it was
awesome hearing it from him in person, about how missionaries wonder why missionary work is so hard- our
trial should be pneumonia from baptizing so many people, why is it so hard? Its because Salvation is NOT a
cheap experience. Why should it be easy for us, when it was never ever easy for Him?! As representatives of
Jesus Christ, we have to suffer a little, just a sliver of what he had to suffer. It was a great talk! Go watch it on
my FB! :)

Anyway Im out of time, but it was a great week!! I love and miss you all, and hope the best for every
one of you!

I know this gospel is true!!!! Keep reading scriptures! Theyre great!! And read Richard G Scott's talk
about the scriptures from conference in 2011, its a great talk!!! I love it!
