1. River Unete
flows through the town in the
central part, in regard
Northwest - Southeast. This
river originates from the
mountainous Paradise and
Mirador to 1300 m.o.s.l and
has a length of 95 km from its
mouth and a drainage area in
the municipality of Aguazul of
947 km2.

born of streams la cascada, San Juan and Minquir,
the first one located at an elevation slightly above
1,800 m.o.s.l on the sidewalk, retiro milagro.

It is located between the towns of Aguazul and Mani.

1.3 River Unete Watersheds

km2 (Stream Bridge) to 69.5 km2 (Stream
Dumagua) with flow rates between 30.25

River Chiquito, which is composed of 9
watersheds thus covering an area of 105.9
km2 and adding a wealth of

In general it can be concluded that the Rio Unete, after
traveling 156 kilometers and being fed by the 41.2 miles
that measures the Rio Chiquito, 943 covers an area
of 28 km2 which correspond to 65.5% Aguazul (617.85
km2) to Mani 34.5% (325.43 km2).
