Following the success of Reality TV Shows such as Geordie Shore and Structured Reality TV shows such as Made in
Chelsea and TOWIE, Channel 4are coming to the South West to create a Structured Reality show to top them
all!!

TROW VEGAS is about to go LIVE on E4!!!!

You have been commissioned as the Creative Directors for the promotion of anew Series documenting the people, the
goings on and the drama in TROW VEGAS a city like no other (or is it?! ) You decide!!

Either in teams or individually you will be responsible for the following
A Billboard campaign consisting of at least 6 promotional shots of the people and the places due to be shown
in the upcoming series.
A 2 minute trailer of the upcoming series that will draw the audience in so much, they wont be able to help
themselves but tune in!
A proposal for TrowVegas the Computer game! Detailing the characters, goals, levels, limitations, incentives
and promotional add-ons.

You will also be responsible for the creation of a TROW VEGAS the series Website using either Weebly or Wix as well
as the upkeep of a Social Media Campaign on Facebook and Twitter (details to follow).

Over the next couple of weeks, you will receive separate briefs for each of the specialisms, and will have the opportunity
to draw from a full range of specialist mentors (your tutors) throughout the process.

How have similar programmes been promoted?!
Look at their promo shots, their adverts, their trailers, (if available)
Who and what features? Why do they work? Why are they
successful? (You should consider characters and drama, quality of
image, what do they give away? What do they hold back?)

Diversity How do they go about attracting a diverse audience?
Constraints What codes of practice and conduct do they need to
adhere to? What standards of decency are maintained throughout
these programmes? Why do these programmes rarely cross the
line with what viewers my or may not accept?
Make extensive notes (you may and should include imagery)
to show that youve researched and gained something from
the process.

TARGET AUDIENCE
Classify the audience for those shows who are they aimed at?
Who watches them? Is their a bonus audience (outside the target)
if so who are they? Why do they get sucked in? *(4.1)
*a section of the audience for these shows is all around you, go
ask them!

How do these shows attract and then keep the target audience?
(consider genre, characters, drama , action, locations, music,
soundtrack, misc en scene etc.)
Why is it successful?

Now you have analysed and discovered how previous shows
have constructed their own successful series, you need to do
the same!!

Locations What type of places are there in TrowVegas?
Characters Who lives there? Why will we love them? How will
they attract as wide and DIVERSE an audience as possible?
Drama What types of things will happen? What do the characters
like and do? Why will Trow Vegas be interesting and fun?
Constraints How will you judge what is appropriate? Where will
you draw the line? Why will you do this?
E4 How will your programme fit into E4s image and schedule?

All of the above must be related to and appropriate for your
decided

TARGET AUDIENCE

Please classify using Standard Occupational Classification
(ABC1) as well as stating lifestyle, gender, age etc
Why will they be attracted to your promotional
campaign? Consider this carefully, what will they be
looking for? What will they want and/or expect to see?
