This is a program where I get to work/observe in many different positions of the hospital. As a
group we travel to different facilities to work with other employees at the hospital. Positions I
have volunteered at such as Nursing, Wound care, case management, etc. have helped me
become more familiar with the hospital setting. Some of the things I did at the hospital include:
Responded appropriately to the physical, emotional and developmental needs of patients.
Changed sterile dressings.
Helped patients move in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs and automobiles.
Maintained a clean, healthy and safe environment.
Followed safe lifting techniques and individual resident lifting instructions.
Transported patients to other areas of the hospital in wheelchairs and gurneys.
Assisted nurses with wound care for pressure ulcers, bed sores, and surgical site wounds.
