Assistant Editor
FEVA TV Television is a unique broadcaster offering its entertainment 24/7 on multi-platforms. We are
looking for an Assistant Editor to collaborate closely with our Lead Video Editor. In this role, the
Assistant Editor would be required to use Final Cut Pro X to edit, label, index, and revise content
and clips, as well as assist the editing team with written content organization and prep for final
publication.

You will:

Possess 1 - 2 years of Editing / Assistant Editing experience
Have full proficiency with Final Cut Pro X and FCP 7 Editing Software
Be experienced in cutting On-Air Promos
Possess formal training in film editing, video production and/or post production
techniques.
Have the mobility and ability to attend high level events with team and clients to capture
and stream content a plus but not mandatory
Work collaboratively with others and as part of a team
Be a creative, self starter but able to follow and learn from instructions
Offer and respond to feedback in a constructive manner
Think critically and be open to new approaches and better ways
Respond to business demands with urgency and be calm and reasoned during pressure
and crises
Exhibit pride in FEVA TV and its programs and ensure the integrity of the organization

RESPONSBILITIES (But Not Limited to)
Assemble all raw footage, with camera shots in preparation for inputting into the
computer
Input uncut rushes and sound, and synchronizing and storing them into files on the
company server folder
Digitally cut the files to determine the sequence of the film and determining what is
usable
Create a rough cut of the film and determine the exact cutting for the next and final
stages
Re-order and tweak the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of
the film
Oversee the quality and progress of the audio and vision engineering and editing
Consult with the director, producer and/or client throughout the post-production process
Become familiar with the style of specific directors
Experiment with styles and techniques including the design of graphic elements

Select the most effective shot of a scene in terms of drama, story relevance or continuity
Other duties as assigned
