Introduction: Reason/Reasons for writing the Critical
Paper.

Reason 1 : I love to learn about history.
Reason 2: The time period that the book was in is the
time period I am studying.
Reason 3: Our class read Johnny Tremain in our
Literature class.

Johnny Tremain is historically accurate on the
description of the American Revolution and life in
Boston in the 1770s.
Evidence 1 : The Boston Tea Party. The book mentions correct
details of the Boston Tea Party because of passing down from
generation to generation. And Esther Forbes (The Author) is a
historian.
Evidence 2: The spy system organized by Paul Revere. The spy
system was organized because of the colonists and British rough
relationship and the threat of war with the British.
Evidence 3: The accurately told account on the beginning of the
Battle of Lexington. The account is accurate because the soldiers
sang Yankee Doodle in the book and in real life the soldiers sang
Yankee Doodle often.

Johnny Tremain is accurate in all of its descriptions on
the places in Boston. Johnny Tremain is a great book all
in all that many should read if they love history
especially early American History.
