Fumes to much exposure can cause cancer (Long-term
effect)
Standard Operating Procedure
Ensure the work area is clean and clear of grease, oil,
and any flammable materials
Keep the welding equipment and work area dry to
avoid electric shock
Ensure the gloves are dry and free from holes to avoid
electric shock

Wear Mask, goggles and glove
Admin Matter
Provide local exhaust
ventilation is much more
effective in controlling
welding fumes and gasses
because it will capture the
fumes and gasses close to
the source and keeps them
from entering the welders
breathing zone
