Parables: a simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson, as told by Jesus in the Gospels.

Mustard Seed
Matthew 13:31-33 Another parable put the forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is
like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: Which indeed is the
least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becomes a tree, so
that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. Another parable space he unto
them; the kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three
measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.


Apostles
Apostles: any important early Christian teacher
Jesus had twelve apostles. Many of them were only fisherman and tax collectors. The apostles
didnt well know people. Jesus told them to drop their nets and follow Him. The twelve apostles
eventually became important people in the early church such as Peter. The rock of the church.
The apostles were martyred for their beliefs in Jesus.

Different denominations have different concentrations. Some focus on the bible. Many focus on
rules and regulations. Catholics focus and Mary. Other denominations put their concentration on
disciples, relics, and places. Their main focus is usually is on Jesus/God.
