The Gospel Of Judas
Dated at about AD 280

In contrast to the Biblical gospels which

paint Judas as a betrayer of Christ who
delivered him up to the authorities for
crucifixion, the Gospel of Judas portrays
Judas's actions as done in obedience to
instructions given by Christ.

This portrayal teaches that the human body

is a spiritual prison, therefore Judas served
Christ by helping to release His soul from its
physical constraints.

The Gospel of Judas does not claim that the

other disciples knew about Jesus's true
teachings. On the contrary, it asserts that
they had not learned the true Gospel,
which Jesus taught only to Judas
Iscariot, the sole follower belonging to
the "holy generation" among the
disciples.
John Chapter 6

66 From that time many of his (Jesus) disciples went back, and walked no more
with him.
67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the
words of eternal life.
69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a
devil?
71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should
betray him, being one of the twelve.
Question?
How many books
should be in the Bible?
Question?

What is the Deutro-Isaiah theory?

Because of the obvious differences between the

first 39 chapters and the last 27 chapters of the
book of Isaiah, some men have theorized that
Isaiah was authored by two different men.
Notice the comments of Thomas M. Bennett in the back
of the Pew Bible under the heading of:
SUMMARY OF THE BOOKS OF THE BIBLE,
The Old Testament:

ISAIAH. This book, as is true of all the prophetical

books, derives its name from the prophet whose
messages it records. The unity of Isaiah, a problem
related to authorship and contents, has been the
subject of much debate.
The message of the book is twofold:
Judgment upon Judah for her sins (1-39), and
Comfort and hope for an exiled people (40-66).
Question?

Were there really two different Isaiah’s or

is their a greater truth to be learned?
Question?
What is a “similitude”?

Hosea 12:10
[God says] I have also spoken by the prophets,
and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes,
by the ministry of the prophets.
SIMILITUDE
likeness;
resemblance;
corresponding in kind or quality;
an imaginative comparison,
something similar.
Behold the Isaiah Similitude

NOTICE:
The Bible contains 66 books.
Isaiah has 66 chapters.

This is our first similarity!

Behold the Isaiah Similitude

Synopsis of Genesis 1-3.

God speaks creation into existence
God makes a man and woman
The man and his woman sin
Behold the Isaiah Similitude

Isaiah 1
1 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he
saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days
of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of
Judah.
2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the
LORD hath spoken, I have nourished and brought
up children, and they have rebelled against me.

2nd similarity, Isaiah begins like the Bible!

Behold the Isaiah Similitude

Synopsis of Revelation 20-22

New heaven
New earth
The lake of fire
Behold the Isaiah Similitude
Isaiah 66
22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I
will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so
shall your seed and your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon
to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all
flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases
of the men that have transgressed against me: for their
worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched;
and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

3rd similarity, Isaiah ends like Bible!

Do you remember the comment of Thomas M. Bennett
regarding the book of Isaiah?

Because of its content, the Deutro-Isaiah theory

would divide Isaiah between the 39th and 40th
chapters.

How many books are in the Bible?

There are 39 Old Testament books.
There are 27 New Testament books.

Behold the Isaiah Similitude

How many chapters are in Isaiah?

There are 39 in the first part of Isaiah
There are 27 in the last part of Isaiah
There are 66 chapters total in Isaiah

4th similarity, Isaiah is divided

between the 39th and 40th chapters
just like the Bible is divided
between the 39th and 40th books.
Behold the Isaiah Similitude

We have learned that the book of Isaiah:

Begins like Genesis
Ends like Revelation
And is divided like the Old and New Testaments

Is this a coincidence?
Behold the Isaiah Similitude

But that’s not all!

They even have the same

verse in the same place!
Behold the Isaiah Similitude
Isaiah
Chapter 40, Verse 3
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness,
Prepare ye the way of the LORD…

Matthew
40th Book of the Bible, Chapter3, Verse 3
For this is he that was spoken of
by the prophet Esaias, saying,
The voice of one crying in the wilderness,
Prepare ye the way of the Lord…
Behold the Isaiah Similitude

We have learned that the book of Isaiah:

Begins like Genesis
Ends like Revelation
Is divided like the Old and New Testaments
And has the same verse in the same place!!!

Is this a coincidence?
Behold the Isaiah Similitude
What are the SIMPLE probabilities
against this similitude taking place?

1 in 66 chance it will begin like Genesis

1 in 66 chance it will end like Revelation
1 in 66 chance it will be divided in the right place
1 in 31 chance the right verse would be quoted

66x66x66x31=

1 in 8,912,376
Behold the Isaiah Similitude

This is the SIMPLE probability of only one

similitude taking place.

There is much more evidence that is yet to

be considered.

Is this a coincidence?
