Reflection !
I have grown as a student in my History class. The skill that had grown was my speaking
skills. We had to present in front of the class the four different causes for the Industrial
Revolution. The topic that I had gotten was "New Ways of Thinking", the topic was very difficult
ecause my partner and I had to search up things like socialism, communism. !ocialism and
"ommunism are to theories that involve the community and property. We also had to search up
Thmas #althus and $dam !mith, the two philosophers that thought of socialism and
communism. We also had to research %tilitarians and laisse&'faire they are the two types of
eliefs #y partner and I were given the possition of leaders of the group. We were not only
incharge of keeping the people in our group in track ut we are also incharge of creating and
organi&ing the presentation. What we did was a (re&i, which is like a power point, an organi&e
the slides.)uring the presentation I felt like I was going to pass out from eing nervious, I also
felt like I was going to choke during the presentation. We had to take aout the topic that was
given to use What was worse was that some slides were missing the te*t, ut sense I already
knew the matterials, so I +ust went for it. In the end I was ale to give a good presentation.
I have grown as a gloal citi&en in my ,nglish class. I inventigated the prolems that the
world is facing. With a partner, we had to make a montage video aout the prolem that is
occuring now. The topic that my partner and I chose was how teens are affected y music. We
had to think up a claim that states our argument, the claim was " I want parents t olet teens listen
to any kind of music ecause teens have the right to e*press themselves how ever they want".
What was really challenging aout the pro+ect was searching the right pictures to put in the
video. The kinds of pictures we had to search up was parents eing annoyed y the sound of
music, teens reelling, music eing anned, teens looking depressed, teens feeling imprisoned,
and finally happy teens. The music was also very difficult to find, we could find the right song to
with the pictures and the topic. The songs that I chose was " wer-re not gonna take it", "welcome
to my life" and "street corner symphony". The video starts out with reellious teens and annoyed
parents, then it goes into teens feeling depressed aout not having music in their lives, and finally
it goes into how happy teen are with music. .nce the video was completed we had to upload it
in youtue so that everyody can see the video. The main point in doing so was to persuade
parents into letting their teens listen to music and that its good for their soul.
