What is Jumpstart? Jumpstart is a Canadian organization that helps children get involved with sports by removing financial barriers. Why is Jumpstart important? Some children dream to be professional athlete and they cant do that if their family cant afford the expenses, so that is where Jumpstart comes in and that is why it is important. Jumpstart Mission Statement To provide financially disadvantaged children (4-18 years old) in Canada with the opportunity to participate in sports and recreational activities.

Statistics In 2013, Jumpstart helped 49 children in Squamish. One of Jumpstarts goals was to help 100 000 children get involved in sports and recreation on an annual basis by 2012 At this point in time Jumpstart has helped a total of 734 114 kids in Canada What would Jumpstart do with the grant?
