Sound Waves

High pitch
The higher the pitch of a sound, the more waves there are, or the
higher the frequency. This graph shows a high-pitched sound, with a
short distance between the wave peaks.
Loud sound
A sound wave can be displayed as a graph. A loud sound will have a high
amplitude, which shows as high waves.
Low pitch
A low-pitched sound will have a low frequency. The distance between
the wave peaks will be long.
Soft sound
A soft sound will show on a graph as a low wave. This is a low-amplitude
sound.
