Seven Wonders of the ancient world

The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World is just one of many lists that the ancient Greeks
compiled. Creating such lists was something the Greeks of this time enjoyed doing, and they had
lists for many different categories, such as poets and playwrights. The list of Ancient Wonders that
we know today is actually a compilation of works from various Greek writers, not a single list, as
many people believe.
