Course Title: Research Methods Workshop

Topic: The Increasing Scarcity Of Natural Resources
Research Topic Questions:
1. What will happen globally if the demand for non-renewable natural resources
became larger than the supply?
2. What are natural resources? How many types are there?
3. What fluctuations will occur to the price of non-renewable natural resources as
they increase in scarcity? Which countries, corporations, and organizations will
benefit from these fluctuations? Who will be negatively affected?
4. What countries are taking initial steps towards outweighing the negative effects
of this increasing scarcity? What are these steps? Will these steps give immunity
to the scarcity of non-natural resources?
5. Should Lebanon start new projects that focus on using renewable energy as a
way to shield itself from the negative effects of this increasing scarcity and rising
prices?
Reason for the choice of Topic:
Natural resources play a huge role in the part of every humans life.
Humans have learned to become reliable on automobiles, machines,
electricity, and other technologies that require natural resources to
operate. We have noticed that the demand for these non-renewable
natural resources is forever increasing and the supply might just not be
enough. We wondered what will happen to the countries, factories, and
people if the demand really outgrew the supply of natural resources. We
found it to be a fascinatingly interesting research topic question to apply. It
is important and related to some of our scarcity topics that we have taken
in Management courses.
