WhatIwasstrongatregardingthisclasswasbudgeting,connectingwithconsumers
andanythingregardingmath.Iconsidermyselfeasytogetalongwithpeoplewhichwouldhelp
mebeabletoconnectwiththem.Ihavegoodmathskillssoanythingthathastodowithmath
cameeasytome,likebudgeting.Howeverwhenitcametograntwritingandfundraisingit
provedachallenge.Iwasbroughtuptobeindependant.Soaskingfordonationswas
undoubtedlydifficultforme.OddlyenoughthatwaswhatIlearnedaboutmyself.Ineverrealized
ituntilIhadtowriteadonorletter.WhenIboileddownwhatmyissuewaswithwritingadonor
letter,itcamedowntothefactIwasbroughtupthatway.
IhavealreadycompletedtheMicrosoftOfficeclassandIamaMicrosoftOffice
Specialist.SoalongwithcompletingthisclassinadditiontotheMOSclassIwouldliketo
graduatewithaNonProfitAcademyCertificate.Whatmakesmewanttograduatewiththe
certificateisbecausethatIwouldliketotakeupalloftheuniqueopportunitiesthatareofferedto
me.Whatthisclassleftmewonderingaboutisonthelegalaspectof501c3.LookingforwardI
wouldliketograduatewiththetheNonProfitAcademyCertificateandlearnmoreaboutthelegal
aspectof501css.
ThethreeNonProfitskillsthatIbelievethatIexcelledatarebudgeting,managing
volunteersandmarketing.Ihaveexcellentmathskillssothebudgetingtopiccameeasytome.
WhenitcametomanagingvolunteersIdevelopedorganizationalskillsandappliedittomanage
thevolunteers.Thewaythemarketingsectionwastaught,reallystuckwithme.SoIfeellikeI
excelledwiththisskill.WiththenonprofitworldbeingcompletelynewtomeIbelievethatI
performedwellanddevelopedmanyskillsalongtheway
