known as TWO-TOUCH F.C within the next twelve months, including work frustration, unemployment,
over employment, psychiatric conditions, drug withdrawal, alcohol abstinence, puberty, prolonged
virginity, school exams, parenthood, immigration levels in the pure and wholesome kingdom of
Padania, height, the price of oil, and lastly, perceived inequity in the fairness of refereeing shown
towards said team on the field of play. This last being probably the most prevalent.

Chairman report

Constitution: opportunity for objections, motions to be voted for/against as per constitutional
parameters as per (signed and agreed) original club constitution

The amount of red in the previous graphics goes to show that we have gone forward since the first
season in many ways. The most startling and pleasing stat, I would say is that of goals conceded for
which we have reduced the number by 36%.
Goals scored, is also good, but I would have preferred to have seen another big block achieved by at
least one other prolific goalscorer.
My most realistic ambition, if we cannot achieve other more glorious goals next season is to at least
maintain this for/against average by the end of the season.
young players
A worry for next year is the loss of four young players in Giulio, Adrien, Alvise and Ces. This, I hope if we
get our recruitment correct will not mean a massive rise in the average age of player in the team. From
the beginning I have understood that our staff body isnt big enough, committed enough or talented
enough to maintain an 11 a side team for a whole season., and I wouldnt want to anyway. In my
opinion the team benefits in fitness, talent, interest, culture, six packs and laughs from the young boys
being so central to everything. I hope we can replace them with other, younger models!
Thanks to you four for partaking in this project for two and a half years. You have contributed to
something special that you will always remember. Maybe one day after university youll head back to
Veneto and well see you in the glorious red and white again.

Discipline,
I say no more: I know that many of us believe that, if they understood what we were actually saying,
then our disciplinary record would be a lot worse than it is but I actually believe that a number of facts
have contributed to our outstanding record over two seasons:
1) British people are, in general, and excluding people from Ireland, non religious, and we
therefore do not blaspheme very often. We generally blame ourselves, the referee, the
opposition or sometimes our parents for things that go wrong instead of the lord almighty.
Italians, and especially Venetians on the other hand, do not, and blame many things on a source
that they know very well is completely unaccountable, the lord almighty, poor bugger he is!
2) We are teachers and generally pull back when a situation on the pitch becomes overpassionate
3) Our younger players see this, and, as we are their role models (hahaha) and understand that
going to the scuola inglese means that they have grown up in an environment that is expected
to have moral values somewhere above that of the general population, even if, in reality, they
do not, and they act accordingly.
4) We are a bunch of pussys who do not tackle hard enough.
5) We have only one Sean, and one Giulio.
6) Very few of the team speak Italian, or Veneto.
7) We play on a synthetic pitch where the game is purer and less prone to dirty tackling because of
the slow, true movement of the ball
8) We are great and truly believe in the Corinthian spirit. Whilst secretly wishing we were Spartans

Costs

Costs are a double edged sword. Last year we paid double for less games and training, but people
showed more commitment to coming to games and training.
What is the solution? Do we put the price back up so that people actually make more effort to get their
monies worth?
Fortunately, we have some sponsorship, which I hope will remain because we have done so well in
promoting the name of the school this year. Therefore, it is probable that we do not have to raise costs.
On the other hand, we cannot keep them too low because then the same level of commitment wont be
present. When we know what sponsorship we can depend on for next season then we will be able to set
a price.
The worst thing about the team, before we collected fees pre-season, and collected game by game was
that people felt free to come and go as they wished and the squad suffered heavily from last minute pull
outs. This is not acceptable because, (and it may seem blindingly obvious) a team needs a certain
number of players to be able to start the game.
It constantly frustrates me when other teams, who are no better than us (e.g Atletico 2000) turn up with
18-25 players knowing full well that there are a maximum of five substitutions allowed per game.
These teams also ALL pay season fees!
This attitude towards football is killing it. See quote below.
the FA admits the number of traditional, adult, male, 11-a-side teams has fallen from
33,568 in 2005-06 to 30,355 in 2010-11

It is something we have to be very wary of at TTFC, especially since we have such a small pool of
potential players to choose from.
The reality is that if we manage to get sponsorship to cover costs, then we will not have to depend on
part time players, and will have a much bigger and better pool to choose from. This will obviously create
competition for places that will see the less-committed being sidelined. It will probably also mean that
the British dynamic will decline within the squad.
For all these reasons, I do not propose scrapping a season fee, even if we get full sponsorship (which is
by no means guaranteed) Besides, every other club takes fees so I believe TTFC should also. What would
probably be best would be if the official medical check was included in the season fee, thus avoiding the
potentially serious problem of forgeries.

Training
From the chairmans perspective, the training has been very disappointing this season and (although
they cannot be directly proved to be linked) I believe is the main reason that we didnt do better. I think
we had the players, youth, facilities and infrastructure to have done better on the pitch this year.
I hope next year, that we can recreate a bit of the spirit of giving of 2012-13 in which I really believe that
we started to understand the principles that you get from giving in a football team. The more you
contribute outside of match time contributes to the improvement of the squad, your own happiness and
also your own competency and fitness to do well (and thus be selected more often) in actual match
play.
I am paying to play does not and cannot exist in amateur football. If you are good enough then
somebody will pay you to play. If you are not good enough (like all of us) then you have to pay to play
because facilities, kit, registrations, referees etc are services that are provided by people who expect a
return on their product, service or facility.

Garret OSullivan
Look at Garret OSullivan: not a great player, trained all year, lost loads of weight, didnt drink like a fish
after matches, went home, did, erm what he erm, did and was virtually always a first team choice
because of the these facts. He got more out of TTFC than most other people-because of what he put in!
Dave Coppard
Good captains season. Credit to the team in your dealings with referees and opponents. Lets hope your
pre-Samuel form returns very soon!

Sponsorship
On another note Id like to pay special tribute to the people who have raised sponsorship this year (Sean
and Matt Hutchinson), people who have arranged extra training sessions at Couver or after school here
(Sean) and anyone who gave lifts to games and paid your own money for expensive petrol for your cars
which others benefitted from (Me, Sean, Simon, Roper, Diego, Giulio) this year. What you do for the
team cannot be underestimated.

In conclusion:
Good progress on several fronts, but we are at a dangerous crossroads at which we must make the right
decisions concerning recruitment and costs to avoid dangers of going backwards into a failing
institution.
Massive thank you to the school for sponsoring us this year. Dont be shy of thanking the owners guys if
you see them. It is a generous offer that they do not have to make.
As chairman Id like just to say thank you to the team for respecting the teams old player Andrew Busby
who passed away sadly in October.
Thank you also to the boys and good luck in Holland and Britain in the coming years.
Lastly, best wishes to our no1 fan Natalie who I am sure will be back on the bench next year (if the
referee lets her!)
