Cindy serves as a CNS for Dayton Childrens Hospital Operations where she is
involved in giving lectures to staff and at conferences; she is heavily involved in
palliative care for patients and families and also provides pain consults for pain
management; Cindy has had many articles/position statements published
regarding her areas of expertise which is a goal I would like to attain.

Karen for many years was the CNS for Hematology/Oncology at Dayton
Childrens Hospital; She educated patients, families, and staff on the diagnoses of
cancer and its treatment; She then became an administrative manager at Dayton
Childrens Hospital; Karen recently moved to Kettering Medical Center to
become the Head & Neck Nurse Navigator; Karen is a great resource for my goal
of becoming a Pediatric Oncology CNS.


Sandra Hibner, RN, BSN, MSN; Dayton Childrens Hospital; Coagulation Resource Nurse;

Sandy is the Coagulation Resource Nurse at Dayton Childrens Hospital; She
educates patients and families on Hemophilia and a multitude of othe
hematological disorders; Sandy also coordinates these patients treatment; Sandy
serves on the local, state, and national Hemophilia Board and is heavily involved
in state and national legislation for the care and coverage of the pediatric
hematology population; Sandy is also involved in a number of research studies;
Research is another one of my goals when attaining my CNS and Sandy will be a
great resource.
