(NetOps software, tools, and systems are those products (COTS/GOTS) which monitor and manage the networed de!ices within the "rmy #nterprise $nfostructure. These NetOps products securely manage, operate and maintain the networ% they are not the networ de!ices or elements themsel!es.) 1 It is essential that each ne! (etOps product be assessed to verif"/validate compliance to the *(& prior to receiving a Certificate of (et!orthiness (Co() as outlined in &/ 01-2 3-4 5"ppropriate architecture to include the &and'arNet NetOps "rchitecture (&N"), (formerly referred to as the "rmy #nterprise NetOps $ntegrated "rchitecture ("#N$")), and systems design are incorporated into the o!erall Networthiness process to ensure that new systems or their capa(ilities will not ad!ersely impact the "rmy #nterprise $nfostructure6$ *(& Compliance generall" refers to the measurement of a (etOps product in meeting the &rm" *(& 7e" Performance Parameters (7PP#s) and interoperabilit" re.uirements and standards$ %he core of the *(& Compliance process is the initial product assessment 8mapping# to the *(& Capabilities the validation of the products functional capabilities and data flo! interaction !ith other *(& Capabilities !ithin the *(&$ It is the intent of the &rm" that all future (etOps products utili9ed on the *and+ar(et !hich monitor and manage the net!or)ed devices !ithin the &rm" 'nterprise Infostructure complies !ith the *(& prior to being ac.uired fielded and integrated$ In an effort to provide &rm" Organi9ations and Industr" a!areness of the *(& :unctional and Interoperabilit" /e.uirements ('%COM/- th Signal Command developed a Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) Management Compliance Chec)list for this *(& capabilit"$ Industr" is encouraged to utili9e this chec)list to perform a 5self-assessment6 of their (etOps products to ensure compliance !ith the *(& re.uirements$ Some products ma" 5map6 to more than one *(& capabilit"$ It is recommended that &rm" /e.uiring &ctivities utili9e this chec)list as part of their mar)et research evaluation and ac.uisition process of ne! or enhanced (etOps products to ensure their compliance to the *(&$ &fter selecting a (etOps product for ac.uisition &rm" /e.uiring &ctivities should obtain from the vendor completed chec)list(s) for *(& capabilities to !hich the selected (etOps product maps$ %he completed chec)list(s) is the vendor#s assessment of their products compliance to the *(& and !ill be vie!ed as the vendor#s certification of this (etOps products compliance to the &rm" *(& functional and interoperabilit" re.uirements$ 2 &rm" /e.uiring &ctivities should e-mail the vendor completed *(& Compliance Chec)list(s) and supporting documentation to the *(& Compliance %eam compliance$team;conus$arm"$mil at the earliest possible date$ *(& Compliance assessment of (etOps products is time consuming therefore timel" submission of these documents is essential$ (etOps products !ill not be granted a Certificate of (et!orthiness !ithout an *(& assessment and determination of the products compliance to the &rm" *and+ar(et (etOps &rchitecture$ *(& Chec)list(s) received !ithout access to referenced documentation !ill be returned and not evaluated$ Note) *endor completed &N" Compliance Checlists are for N#TCO+/, th Signal Command internal use only and any final compliance assessment will not (e distri(uted or returned. 3
