For as long as I can remember, I have lived in an entrepreneurial environment. My
brother, my grandmother, my father and mother, they have all strived to make the best out
of their opportunities. By watching them I learned that there is no shortcut on the way to
success and that ambition and patience should be core values in any persons life.
However, something else has also happened while I have grown next to this family of
entrepreneurs. I began to become curious about the science behind these ventures.
I started researching on my own. I slowly but steadily began to understand the
basics of the economic science. I learned the of the consequences of price chance and
how the supply and demand for some products are more effected by this change than
those of other products. I was thrilled that I could understand more about the environment I
was growing in.
Second Paragraph:
Not long after that, I started studying economics in school. I found it wonderful that I
could apply the microeconomics concepts that I learned in class into some of my familys
ventures. I wasnt happy just with theory, I needed to know how it could apply into
everydays business business and management problems.
Seeing my interest in the subject, my economics teacher suggested that
participating at the national olympiad would be a good chance for me to showcase my
knowledge. I thought it was a great idea. After 2 months of intense practice the chance
finally came. Even though I was competing with seniors and students who had the
possibility of studying economics all their high school years, I felt prepared. I came out
third in Bucharest and Im aiming to surpass myself in my senior year.
romania is a developing countries which eperienced 40 years of communism system and it
still has difficulty relating
