AbstractThe purpose of practice is nd theoretically the lens
that can give us the greatest amount of light in the ber using
the characteristics of the laser and the ber. The we measure the
efciency with the input power and the output power.
I. INTRODUCTION
Focusing lenses provide more controlled beam contours and
longer detection ranges.[1]

A. Methodology
First we have to prepare the ber, we make a cut in the end
of it with a especial tool, we observe the propierties of the
laser and the characteristics of the ber:
Fiber:
Nufern 630-HP
Operating wavelength 600-770nm
A.N. = 0.130
Diam. Kernel 3.5 microns
Laser properties:
633nm Wavelength
Beam diameter: D = 0.70 mm
w = 4 microns (specied by the ber)
The focal length is then calculated:
F = D
w
4
F =
(0.7x10

)(4x10

)
4(633x10

)
F = 3.474x10

Lenses and focal lengths were searched (online) we can see
them in table 1
Because of the results obtained in the focal length, we use
lenses of 40x and 20x
Then we calibrate the ber between the laser in order to
have a best performance and observe the phenomenon
B. Analysis and results
We can observe the results in the table II.
II. CONCLUSION
We can see that we have less losses with 40x lens.
