TCS Selection Guidelines

Firstly, TCS has several levels of tests/interview in their selection procedure.


1. Aptitude test (generally online test) consisting of three sections, veral ailities,
!uantitive ailities and logical reasoning ailities. "n veral, u r as#ed antony$s of
several words in english language, si$ilar ut less e%haustive than &'( veral section.
)uantitive consists of class * level $athe$atical s#ill testing prole$s. loogical
reasoning will as# you yes/no/can+t say type !stns ased on a paragraph. u will have to
read through the paragraph fast ut efficiently understanding only the $ain pith of the
written $aterial. regading the words, they as# the sa$e words over and over again. So,
$e$orise the word $eanings fro$ all the papers that i have put up. , will surely get all
of the$ co$$on. "n case, u have given &'(, don+t other at this section at all. All
words are co$$on.(ach section is ti$e li$ited. " have forgotten the e%act ti$e division.
So u can not afford to waste too $uch ti$e on any one section.
-. .sycho$etry/ 0hen u clear the aove three section, u will e allowed to appear for
psycho$etry. "ts 112 !stns to e answered in 32 $in. Always re$e$er to give
.4S"T"5( and C46S"ST(6T answers since the sa$e !stn repeats with a different
sentense construction so$eti$es later. Try to hide 7ve traits in ur character as li#e eing
i$patient, getting ored easily, distracted easily, feeling uneasy in a gathering of $any
people, unsocial and over tal#ative nature, etc. They as# !stns li#e whether u wld $a#e
frndship with a person of opposite se%, feel inso$nia without reason, consistently rood
over a $ista#e u did in the past, the type of person u r, etc etc. what u r actually is not

3. After u clear psycho, is ur technical interview. )stns co$e $ainly fro$ the pro8ects,
e%periences u have gathered. They chec# ur resu$e and the lue for$ and as# !stns fro$

The Aptitude section is very easy . " say so ecause you can prepare for it in

find in the internet is the ulti$ate aptitude !uestion paper. 4ne can easily do at least -2
!uestions correctly , ut as a precaution try doing at least -BD-E !uestions correctly

The logical reasoning part has the least $ar#s ( 1- $ar#s ) ut it is the $ost
deter$ining one. <ogic can never e created the night efore the e%a$ , ut it can e
sharpened y doing various e%ercises . There are four paragraphs M each paragraph
consists of three !uestions. (ven if you are very e%asperated in the e%a$ination hall you
