Used by companies to determine the predictability and capability of a product or process.

It provides a
clear insight into what is happening in your process or product and leads to a performance breakthrough
by fitting a model to the obtained data. Through the use of this model, different effects and interactions
can easily be visualised and used to control the process

Simulations are used by the software to load data from a known model into a response.
If loading an existing simulation, click Finish to open the browser and find the *.simx file.
Select Simulate response data to enter an equation for the response. A simulated response can
include simulated noise and will be analyzed and optimized as though the data were entered
normally. Click Next to enter the model entry dialog. Typical use for this is to enter a
mechanistic model to generate data, but fit it with a polynomial through the analysis. Most often
used to build class room examples.
Select Use equation in analysis to enter an equation for the response. This differs from
simulating a response in that no noise can be entered and no analysis is performed. The response
can be used for optimization. Click Next to enter the model entry dialog. Typical use for this is
to enter a cost equation that is a direct function of the factors.
