In any company, lot of new documents and drawings are generated in a short period of
time. In addition to this, commercial activity like 'Procurement' will also result in lot of
correspondence and documents. All these documents and drawings are required to be
referred by various concerned parties viz. client, consultants, project coordinators,
suppliers, and execution agencies/ contractors during various stages of execution. Once
the execution is completed and then to trace out the document related to the particular
job becomes easy
Considering all these aspects, it is proposed to devise a simple, uniform, user-friendly
Job number allotment system.
It is proposed that all work orders are categorized as per projects, Factory supply,
Services etc & numbers given to each category.
a) Projects (It includes multidisciplinary construction) 1
b) Factory Supply (Items manufactured in factory & includes excise) 2
c) Services (It includes installation, commissioning, O & M etc.) 3
d) Supply with only Vat/CST (it includes spares, items not manufactured in factory but
supplied like tubes, valves etc) 4
The job number is as XY00
X Denotes year (e.g. For 08-09 year the no will come 8)
Y Denotes the category no. (e.g. for Project the no will come 1)
000 Denotes the sr. no of the job number.
