EXT. THE CREEK - DAY

The screen does not fade in. It opens up to the picture of WONG
sweaty and some blood on his face holding his gun. He is dirty
standing in the creek. STEVE is in front of him. DAVID is behind
by WONG. They are injured and dirty.

STEVE
WONG? How many grenades?

WONG
None.

STEVE
DAVID?

DAVID
Same here.

STEVE
Do you have anything?

WONG
2 magazines left.

DAVID
This shotgun.

STEVE
How many rounds?

DAVID
This shotgun.

STEVE
Nothing?

DAVID nods.

STEVE
Alright. Lets move in. If anyone doesnt want to do this,leave
now.

STEVE looks at DAVID and WONG. Nobody is leaving.

STEVE
Alright.

They start to go in slowly. Slow, very slow inching their way
in. STEVE swallows. Then the whole place erupts in gunfire.

EXT. THE HAVEN - MORNING

SUPER: Iran, 2008

A picture of STEVE appears. He is praying in a grassy area. All
the other guys are doing stuff. WILLIAMS is eating beef jerky.
WONG is walking around. CHARLIE is laying down on his back
sleeping. CHUCK is kicking grass around.DAVID is just staring at
STEVE.

DAVID
Why do you do that?

STEVE
What?

DAVID
That. What you are doing now.

STEVE
Pray?

DAVID
Yeah that.

STEVE
Im asking God for protection.


DAVID
Great. Youre a nutjob.

DAVID walks off angry. The camera goes to WONG. WONG is looking
out over the land and WILLIAMS comes up to him.

WILLIAMS
So, where do you come from?

WONG
Korea.

WILLIAMS
Hmm. North or South?

WONG looks down and the camera pans down to look up at his face.
He hesitates.
WONG
It...doesn't matter.

STEVE
Alright guys,lets get moving.

CUT TO:

EXT. THE PATH - MORNING

They are walking down a small little path in the weeds as they
come up to some wood and dead bodies. This makes them afraid.
WILLIAMS swallows hard but WONG doesnt seem affected by the
bodies. Suddenly more bodies are visible. Some of them are
stained with blood. CHARLIE turns abruptly away as he sees a
really disturbing body. WONG appears to be a little disturbed.
STEVE takes a deep breath.
CUT TO:

EXT. GOAT MANS YARD - MORNING

The shot is a close up of DAVID and slowly pans over to STEVE
who is talking to an Iranian.Sometimes you hear, no no no. But
the shots are mainly focused on the goats. Williams squats down
by a goat and extends his hand to pet it.

WILLIAMS
Hey there little goat.

The goat baas and freaks him out. WILLIAMS stands and walks away
as a few guys laugh.

STEVE
(yelling)
Alright. Lets move out.

They begin to move to the left of the camera leaving the goats
behind. Then it cuts to a shot of them leaving the goat mans
yard. Then it cuts to David and Williams. As they walk off
CHARLIE checks his watch to check the time. It says whatever
time it is at that time.

CHARLIE
Its (whatever time it happens to be - 14) over in the states.

CHUCK
Yeah...

Talking stops and they just keep walking.

WILLIAMS
So what do you think of Staff Sergeant?

DAVID
Dont like him personally. He seems too ... inexperienced. If
you know what I mean. You know?

WILLIAMS
I see. But he seems like a cool guy. Man those bodies!
(shudders) What do think they died from?

DAVID
Beats me.

DAVID pulls out a cigarette and lighter and a puffs flies up
from the cigarette. WILLIAMS watches him. DAVID sees this and
turns to WILLIAMS.

DAVID
Want a smoke?

WILLIAMS
No man. I would never breathe that trash in.


DAVID
(shrugs)
Hmm. Suit yourself.

WILLIAMS runs forward in the group to get to CHARLIE. CHARLIE
turns to see who it is but then relaxes to find out it is just
WILLIAMS.

WILLIAMS
So what do you think of staff sergeant?

CHARLIE
Cool. I guess. As long as he gets me home safe. I like him. His
face bothers me for some reason though.

WILLIAMS
Yeah. Me too. Hey man. Do you have an M.R.E. later for like
dinner?

CHARLIE
Sorry ate the last one last night. Walking all day can really
make you hungry.

WILLIAMS
True that.

They get in front of a house and STEVE starts to talk to another
IRANIAN. They talk for a while but the others look around the
area.

WILLIAMS
You think they have a del-taco out here?

DAVID
Ha. If they had any american restaurants out they would have
probably like, McDonalds or something. Something more popular.

CHARLIE
Hmm. Thats what I want now. A big fat juicy burger. You know
smothered with cheese and thick slices of bacon. Still sizzling
hot.

WONG
Hmm. How about some shakes to wash it all down?

WILLIAMS
Ha! Now youre talking!

DAVID
Sure would beat the hot dogs of doom!

STEVE
Alright! Lets move out. Again!

WILLIAMS
Hope we get to the location soon. Im tired of walking.

CHARLIE
Yeah. I know.

It is a close up of Steve as they start to walk off.

CUT TO:

EXT. THE CREEK - MORNING

They start to head off to the west or the right of the camera.
STEVE is running down a hill. As they run down the hill WONG
falls and is helped back up by DAVID. They stop half way down
the hill where some enemies are. STEVE leans over to his left
and tells DAVID.

STEVE
Alright pay attention. Once we get this cleared we call in the
Humvee. Got that?

DAVID nods. CHUCK is shot as he stands. STEVE stands up and
for a brief moment he comes in eye contact with an IRANIAN.
There is utter shock on the IRANIANs eyeballs. STEVE almost
looks sad and then fires his rifle. The whole place erupts in
gunfire. CHARLIE chucks a grenade and blows up the IRANIANS.

DAVID
Alright. Im calling in the Humvee.


STEVE looks at CHUCKs dead body. He sighs.

STEVE
We have to keep moving.

DAVID
Humvee should get here soon.

STEVE
(sarcastic)
Thank you Corporal.

CHARLIE is kicking a dead body when STEVE steps into the scene.
Gunfire is heard in the distance.

STEVE
Whats going on?

An explosion is heard along with screams. WONG is on the hill
when the Humvee rolls down the hill on fire. WONG manages to
jump out of the way just in time. A burnt marine falls off of
it.

DAVID
(spitefully)
So much for the protection.

STEVE
Well the Humvees here. Lets keep moving.

They start to head off to the east. DAVID turns back to see the
Humvee. He sighs and shakes his head and keeps moving. They get
into the east entrance. They all jump one by one across the
creek. STEVE is the last to jump and he almost falls but he is
helped up by WONG and CHARLIE. They look both ways and they are
uneasy.

DAVID
So... Which way?

STEVE is silent while deciding.

STEVE
(pointing to the left)
That way.

They continue into the mess of tangled branches which have an
eerie look to them. Some of them trip over an odd branch. At one
point they have to crawl underneath a branch and up into a den
like area. WONG is crawling up and stops to scope out the area.

CHARLIE
Get your butt out of my face.

WONG is the first to crawl in. He sees beer bottles all over the
place. CHARLIE crawls out of the hole.

CHARLIE
Whoa! Ha ha! That was unexpected!

DAVID
Oh gosh. It smells like trash in here.

The rest of the guys come in to the scene. They all take in
their surroundings. They look all around them taking in the
atmosphere.

WONG
(turning and hitting CHARLIE with his pack)
So where to next?

STEVE
Well...

WILLIAMS
Oh jeez!

STEVE
What is it?

WILLIAMS
(he points directly towards the camera)
Look.
CUT TO:

EXT. THE PLAIN - DAY

They find a trench and an IRANIAN is sleeping in the trench.
They think he is awake.

STEVE
Thats not good. You should go out there and uh... take him out.

WILLIAMS
Why dont you?

STEVE
Whos in command here?

WILLIAMS
Fine.

WILLIAMS heads slowly but quietly. It is intense. Very dramatic
as he approaches the Iranian. He gets to the IRANIAN and grabs
his shoulder.

IRANIAN
Eh? Tequan five more minutes.

The IRANIAN goes back to sleep. WILLIAMS pulls out his pistol
and knocks the IRANIAN on the ground.

IRANIAN
What the?

WILLIAMS then shoots the IRANIAN. Blood splashes up onto
WILLIAMS. WILLIAMS starts to wipe his face.

WILLIAMS
Dang thats sick. Nasty!

They all laugh at him.

WILLIAMS
Stop! That isnt funny!

STEVE
Thats enough! We need to keep moving.

They all move into the trench. STEVE is the first to climb out.
A grenade lands in the trench. It hits WILLIAMS in the back of
the head. WILLIAMS turns and looks down rubbing his head.

CHARLIE
Grenade!

It explodes right where CHARLIE is standing. CHARLIEs guts fall
out along with a lot of blood. He lands on his stomach all his
guts are all over the plants. He starts to scream and yell.
DAVID goes to check his wounds. Some dirt goes flying up. They
are being fired at. Then another grenade goes off. Dirt flies up
DAVIDs face as he reaches into CHARLIES pocket and pulls out
some paper. Then two more grenades go off. He is on the ground
looking around. He lost the note. He is disoriented and
bleeding. WONG is next to him. DAVID goes into a dramatic
flashback stage.

DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. CAMPFIRE - NIGHT

They are around a fire drinking sodas with music playing. CHUCK
is chugging some soda. CHARLIE comes and pushes DAVID so he
almost falls over.

CHARLIE
Yeah! Last day before we get deployed. I just wanna dance! Yeah!

DAVID
And Im going to party with him!

DAVID starts to drink his soda. There is a close up of WILLIAMS,
he chuckles silently to himself as he turns on the music. CHUCK
comes in holding a capri-sun straw in his mouth.

WILLIAMS
Oh yeah! Now the partys really gunna start!

CHUCK then yells yeah! And starts to dance. DAVID pulls out a
cigarette and starts to smoke. WONG is in the corner sharpening
a knife. He glances up to see CHUCK. He laughs. STEVE comes.

STEVE
Theres been a change in plans.

Silence falls on them. WILLIAMS turns off the music.

STEVE
Were getting deployed tonight. So lets suit up and move out.
Our ride will be here soon.

DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. THE PLAIN - DAY

The image fades out and a blurry image of WONG appears. The
sound sounds as if he is speaking through a large tube. The
image and sound quality become better so that you can hear WONG
say.

WONG
We need to move! Come on! get up. Get-

Another grenade goes off. STEVE comes and helps WONG lift DAVID
on his feet. DAVID turns to look at CHARLIE one last time. He
finds the note, blood-stained but he picks it up anyways. It is
crumpled, dirty and covered in blood. A grenade goes off by
CHARLIE. CHARLIE is motionless. Dirt flies up on WILLIAMS as he
shoots at an enemy far away. STEVE is having trouble shooting an
IRANIAN. WILLIAMS is running in the grass when he falls into a
trench. Two IRANIANs look at him and aim their weapons at him.
He is in the middle he leaps out just as they shoot and they
shoot each other and then WILLIAMS leaps back into the trench.
STEVE is offering cover fire for DAVID and WONG. They start to
head off towards some rocks across the field. WILLIAMS starts to
shoot at enemies afar off. WILLIAMS goes straight to lookout.
STEVE throws his hat to the ground. He yells at the top of his
lungs. Then he falls to his knees and puts his hand to his face.

DAVID
What the heck was that staff sergeant! We all couldve died.

WONG
(pulling out a pistol)
Do you want to be dead?

DAVID
This isnt your fight!

WILLIAMS
Whoa! Cool it! Cool it!

DAVID
Dont interfere with this WILLIAMS!

The whole small group starts yelling at each other but STEVE
remains out of it and just watches as they all go at it. STEVE
walks around by a rock. And they turn to him.

STEVE
Look. Guys, I know you may not like me because of my religion or
my oh so beautiful face. Or anything else but, in all my ten
years in the Corps. I uh, I... Ive seen a lot of good people
die. And most were my friends. I dont care if you like me or
not. We just need to do whatever it takes to get the job done.

STEVE looks down and a calm swallows the small group. STEVE then
sits on some rocks. DAVID and WILLIAMS begin to talk. WONG looks
at STEVE.

WONG
Staff Sergeant, what do we do now?

STEVE
We stay put for now. Stay in the rocks theyll try to find us.

EXT. PROMONTORY ROCK - NIGHT

The screen goes black. The word Cornucopia is heard several
times.


WONG
What is it?

WILLIAMS
I heard it was some kinda gas that will slowly kill everything
it touches.

DAVID
Its probably like a bomb.

Then picture appears. It is night WONG, WILLIAMS and DAVID are
huddled over pieces of paper. Then it cuts to a close up of
DAVIDs face and STEVE sits up.

STEVE
What are you doing?

WILLIAMS
What is Cornucopia?

STEVE
Where did you hear-

DAVID
When you fell asleep we took out the pieces of paper in your
jacket.

STEVE
Turn that light off, NOW!


The whole thing turns chaotic.


WONG
Why whats wrong?

DAVID
Just calm down. Calm down.

WILLIAMS
Hey what- We got IRANIANS coming in!

Gunshots fill the air. WONG gives STEVE the papers.

WONG
Here you go.

STEVE takes the paper and shoves it in his pocket.

WILLIAMS
Lets move come on! Lets go!

WILLIAMS begins to shoot. The screen blacks out and all you hear
is yelling and gunshots.
FADE TO:

EXT. THE CREEK - MORNING

WILLIAMS is by himself. He is by some tall grass in the water.
He is walking at a steady pace. He holds the walkie talkie to
his mouth.

WILLIAMS
Im in.

Up on a hill STEVE is overlooking the Creek.

STEVE
Alright WONG. You know what to do.

Back in the bunker like area. WONG has a bunch of grenades in a
little area.

WONG
Im on it.

He takes out one more grenade and tosses it by the pile. He then
runs as fast as he can out of the trench. He is forced to the
ground as the explosions go off. DAVID hears this from the
cabbage patch. He rises and moves down the path. WILLIAMS is
walking toward a pool and stands right where and IRANIAN is
positioned. WILLIAMS does not see this. The IRANIAN moves fast
and cuts his throat. WILLIAMS falls to the ground. DAVID runs
into two IRANIANS but quickly shoots them down. WONG gets up. He
picks up his weapon and crouches/runs off North or to the right
of the camera.


STEVE
WONG! Hostiles! Eleven O Clock!

Two IRANIANS come up behind STEVE. One points a pistol at the
back of his head. STEVE drops his rifle and turns over with
lightning speed and grabs the pistol and uses it to shoot him
several times. He turns and sees that there is a different type
of enemy. The enemy grins.

Colonel Pho
Run.

STEVE takes off running down into the creek while reloading the
pistol. He decides to turn to the left of him. WONG shoots down
one IRANIAN. The other tries to shoot him in the chest but
misses hitting him in the hand. The IRANIAN then pulls out his
knife and charges at him but WONG uses his kung fu moves and
breaks the IRANIANS hand. WONG catches the knife before it hits
the ground and stabs the IRANIAN. STEVE finds WILLIAMS body.

STEVE
What the...?

The IRANIAN that killed WILLIAMS leaps on top of STEVE. STEVE
drops his weapon. The blade comes dangerously close to his
chest. STEVE fights hard to get the knife away but he cant. You
hear his heartbeat. Then STEVE looks down at his foot. He kicks
the IRANIANS leg and makes him fall. STEVE gets his pistol and
shoots the IRANIAN while he is down. Colonel Pho then finds
DAVID who is on the path. Pho draws a rifle and fires at DAVID.
It barely misses him. DAVID shoots at Pho twice but misses. As
DAVID is putting new shells into the shotgun Pho fires at DAVID.
DAVID yells out in pain. One hits him in the arm. WONG on the
other side of the creek sees this struggle. WONG finds a
crossing point. WONG starts charging at Pho. Pho shoots and it
hits the dirt in front of WONG. WONG then gets close enough for
hand to hand combat. They start to fight each other in hand-to -
hand combat. WONG kicks Pho in the testicles but that doesnt
seem to affect Pho any more than a rock against a tree. WONG
tries to punch Pho. It hits Pho. He is bleeding. WONG swings
again but Pho catches it and starts to twist his hand so that it
begins to break slowly. Pho is smiling and bleeding. WONG lets
out a yell. DAVID uses his shotgun and shoots Pho. Pho is hit in
the leg and stumbles and WONG is released. DAVID shoots again
hitting Pho in his mid section. Pho begins to laugh and DAVID
comes slowly up to the dying man. DAVID sees that Pho stops
laughing but continues to smile. DAVID takes his shotgun and
shoots him in the head. It is not shown on camera. STEVE then
comes and sees the mess. WONG picks up his gun.
STEVE
WILLIAMS is dead.

DAVID and WONG dont seem too affected by his death. After all
they are still recovering from the fight they just had.

STEVE
Its time to enter the base.

DAVID
Alright. Lets move.

They move past WILLIAMS dead body and continue down. Deeper
into the creek. They go through some branches and then they stop
before they go any further. WONG sweaty and some blood on his
face holding his gun. He is dirty standing by the creek. STEVE
is in front of him. DAVID is behind by WONG. They are injured
and dirty.

STEVE
WONG? How many grenades?

WONG
None.

STEVE
DAVID?

DAVID
Same here.

STEVE
Do you have anything?

WONG
2 magazines left.

DAVID
This shotgun.

STEVE
How many rounds?

DAVID
This shotgun.

STEVE
Nothing?

DAVID nods.

STEVE holds up his gun.

STEVE
Alright. Lets move in. If anyone doesn't want to do this, leave
now.

STEVE looks at DAVID and WONG. Nobody is leaving.

STEVE
Alright.

They start to go in slowly. Slow, very slow inching their way
in. STEVE swallows. The whole place erupts in gunfire. IRANIANS
are all over the place. STEVE kills one IRANIAN ducks behind a
tree. DAVID manages to pick up a weapon from a dead IRANIAN. He
shoots and realizes hes practically sitting on a grenade. He
pulls the pin and throws it. It hits an IRANIAN in the stomach.
DAVID turns to one side and pulls his arms up over his head.
STEVE puts his arms over his head. WONG isnt expecting anything
but survives. He goes flying back and hits his back.The place
blows up. Water, dirt and blood all splash up on them. One
IRANIAN is still alive but cant move. DAVID shoots him. DAVIDs
arm is bleeding. WONG is rubbing his back.

WONG
My back. Oh my back.

STEVE emerges from behind the tree. He is wide eyed.

STEVE
Oh jeez.

DAVID
Should we keep moving?

STEVE
Yeah.

DAVID
Lets get moving then.

STEVE
Yeah. L-lets get moving.

CUT TO:

INT. NAZI BASE - DAY

They continue moving on and the camera does not show them
entering the base but the next shot they are in the base. The
windows are closed. They exit out of my parents restroom. They
look around. Nothing. They continue and STEVE breaks out of line
to check my sisters bedroom. They turn and see my room. They
see DR. SCHMIDT typing on my computer. DAVID motions for WONG to
check out the living room. STEVE stumbles and falls. DR. SCHMIDT
turns and sees them, he yells and runs deeper in the room but
doesnt get far because DAVID shoots him in the leg. WONG comes
back. DR. SCHMIDT yells and screams.He is clearly a lunatic.

DAVID
Shut up!

DR. SCHMIDT
(yelling)
No please. Dont kill me. They told me no one could get in here!

DAVID
Stop yelling and I wont kill you.

DR. SCHMIDT
(whimpering)
Please dont kill me. Please. Please.

DAVID
Just tell me where I can get Cornucopia.

DR. SCHMIDT
(turning over)
What? You want it? Ha!

DAVID
Where is it?

DR. SCHMIDT
Its been activated in three minutes itll launch into the
atmosphere.


DAVID
What is it?

DR. SCHMIDT
You cannot stop it. Its unstoppable. Theres no way you can
stop it.

DAVID
What is it?

DR. SCHMIDT
Ha! What is it? (laughs) What is it? (he calms down) A highly
flammable gas that will cover the entire globe. Any little
candle. Any little flame will set the globe on fire.

DAVID
How do I stop it?

DR. SCHMIDT
You do not! It is impossible. Impossible!

DAVID
Why do you want to destroy earth.

DR. SCHMIDT
I dont want to destroy it. I want to clear it. So that New
Germany can expand.

DAVID
New Germany?

DR. SCHMIDT
You stupid americans. New Germany has been around since the 40s.
We have been living lives of no fear. No worries of death. We
live in harmony together. My grandfather dreamed of a world such
as New Germany. But he failed. Now it is time you fail. (raises
his hand for Nazi salute) Heil Hitler.

DR. SCHMIDT he draws a pistol out of his pocket and puts it up
to his head. Without delay he shoots himself.

WONG
We need to stop this thing.

Steve pulls a tracking beacon out of his pack.

STEVE
Get out of here. Call in a bunker buster on this beacon.

DAVID
No. Im not leaving you.

STEVE
This facility is too large for one bomb. We need a precision
airstrike. We don't even know our own coordinates.


DAVID
Why are you staying then?
STEVE
Someones gotta protect it.

DAVID
Dont Do this to me, Steve.


STEVE
Look. I know you dont agree with me on everything and I accept
that. But ask always yourself, what is worth dying for?

Over the crackle of the mic, enemy footsteps are heard.

STEVE
GO!

WONG
Take these.

Wong hands STEVE his remaining magazines. WONG and DAVID leave.

CUT TO:

EXT. THE CREEK - DAY

WONG and DAVID start to head up the hill where STEVE was once
positioned. They are calling in the bunker buster bomb. An F-15
strike eagle drops a bunker buster bomb on the base and it blows
up sending dirt flying high. As the plane approaches, the camera
flashes between steve firing his rifle,and the plane flying near
and dropping the bomb. WONG and DAVID watch the dirt settle as a
humvee drives by them and picks them up. DAVID sits on the edge
as WONG sits in the middle by the driver with shades on. DAVID
pulls out the blood stained note that CHARLIE had and as they
drive away you hear a voice over. It is STEVEs voice.

VO:
When I am dead, my dearest
Sing no sad songs for me:
Plant thou no roses at my head,
Nor shady cypress tree:
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet,
If thou wilt: remember
And if thou wilt: forget.
