The Existing system is a manual entry for the students. Here the attendance will be
carried out in the hand written registers. It will be a tedious job to maintain the record
for the user as the human effort is more presented over here. The retrieval of the
information is not as easy as the records are maintained in the hand written registers.
This application requires correct feed on input into the respective field. Suppose the
wrong inputs are entered, the application will then resist working correctly so the user
might find it difficult to use.
To overcome the problem of the existing system, the proposed system has been
evolved. This project aims to reduce the paper work and saving time to generate
accurate results from the students attendance. The system provides with the best user
interface. The efficient reports can be generated by using this proposed system.
It is trouble-free to use.

Efficient reports
Unified Online Attendance System is a software developed for taking daily
attendances of students in schools, colleges and other educational institutes. It
facilitates to access the attendance of a particular student in a particular class.
The installation procedure will include registering the existing old and new students
and also teachers. The database update or editing flexibility is provided in the system
as new students might need to be registered even in the middle of a session. System
startup once each session also includes providing the session starting and ending date
and the vacations which are allowed by the institution are mentioned as well. The
session duration can be changed at any time by the administrator keeping the present
Bangladesh scenario in mind. The software will include Input Fingerprint validation,
recognizing the student from the database, generating SMS, sending reports through

SMS using the GSM module. Three consecutive absence of a student will generate an
alert message for the parents and the school administration. The system will also
include manually message generating facility from the school administration. When a
teachers fingerprint is recognized and found, the system will only create a tally sheet
instead of generating/sending reports. School can generate own attendance file for
archiving. Five years of archiving data can be stored and further storing can be done
by keeping back up of the current database.

System implementation is the important stage of project when the theoretical design
is tuned into practical system. The main stages in the implementation are as follows:
Planning
Training
System testing and
Changeover Planning
Planning is the first task in the system implementation. At the time of
implementation of any system people from different departments and system
analysis are involved. They are confirmed to practical problem of controlling
various activities of people outside their own data processing departments.
The line managers are controlled through an implementation coordinating
committee. The committee considers ideas, problems and complaints of user
department, it must also consider:
The implication of system environment
Self selection and allocation for implementation tasks
Consultation with unions and resources available
Standby facilities and channels of communication

Student Attendance management system will implement student and staff details , handle
subjects details, separate login details ,time table details. It will be used to enter subject
wise attendance .This application elaborate attendance table and will generate it weekly,
consolidate report and also provide it to the End user. Mostly this application will
calculate date wise attendance .It will also select the starting date and end date of each
session and generate reports when necessary.

The project has a very vast scope in future. The project can be implemented on
internet in the future. Project can be updated in near future when requirement arises
as it is very flexible in terms of expansion. With the proposed software of database
Space Manager is ready and fully functional and due to this the client will be able to
manage and hence run the entire work in a much better, accurate and error free
manner. The following points are the future scope for this project.
Discontinue of a particular student will eliminate potential attendance.
Bar code Reader based attendance system.
Individual Attendance system along with his or her photo using Student login
The Student Attendance will be based on the department and section. According to
the department and section wise the attendance will be marked for the students. It
includes present, absent and leave column for each student so that they would mark
the attendance like periodwise. By just a click on the mouse, the system will be able
to produce the students' attendance report thus reducing the need for manual labor
which is prone to human errors and is also time consuming.
