Maimed in Focus

By: Harjay Felosopo

Gazing the clear and silent night skies.

Seizing the whole night, thinking of you,
Hearing the silence's slimsy cries,
staring at the stars to acquaint you,

like cascades that ought to flow,

peaceful and lovely I feel for thee,
like lurching trees as the winds blow,
rhythmic and sweet my heart beats on thee,

White clouds veiled your face slowly,

waiting on clouds to show you up completely,
lying down alone to stare at you effortless,
but I lied down on the place of roses.

Like a poor creature hopelessly sinking on the quick sand,

I still stare at you as I sunk and gashed in land,
I found myself critically helpless,
For it ought to be damned and hopeless.
