July 2014 at 12pm
A delightful walk from Finchley through the Suburb and on to the Heath
Meet outside East Finchley Tube Station at 11-40am for a 12 noon start.
.
A lovely walk to discover the hidden gems of Hampstead Garden Suburb. We will head for
Lyttleton Playing Fields and follow Mutton Brook through Northway gardens to Little Wood
and the open air theatre where we will stop for a picnic lunch.( takeaway will be available
from the nearby Toulous Caf, please pre-order with me). After lunch we head for Big Wood
and Central Square, the village green of HGS, for a tour of the Free Church. We then cross
the Heath Extension and head for the delightful Hill Garden and Pergola (a 250 yard long
covered walkway with views across the Heath) for our finish at the Caf in Golders Hill Park.
The home made Italian ice cream is recommended. The pace will be leisurely and there will
be dropout points along the way. After tea we will take a bus to Golders Green and another
to Finchley. We recommend that you bring a packed lunch and bottle of water with you.

Distance to lunch stop - 1.4 miles. Total distance to Finish - 4.1 miles
