Software Download

Main software installation

Start the appropriate installation file for you operating system:
hw11.0_win32.exe
hw11.0_win64.exe
hw11.0_linux64.bin

Configure Licence Server

Install the Helpfiles

help11.0_win32.exe
help11.0_win64.exe
help11.0_linux64.bin
Start the appropriate helpfile installer and accept all default values. This is straight forward.

Update the Software

At the time of writing this document, there were two updates available:
HW11.0.401-HyperCrash-38 and AcuSolve-V1.8a.
Please start the appropriate installer file to update your exisiting installation of Hyperworks.

Start the installation as usual.
You will get a warning to backup the installation. If you have changed any files in the installation
directory, please do a backup first. Otherwise proceed with the installation.

AcuSolve-V1.8a
Perl first
If you want to use AcuSolve, you need to install ActivePerl first. You can download the newest
version at http://www.activestate.com/activeperl/downloads

After Perl is installed on your system, you may start the installation as usual, follow the instructions.
Be aware that you MUST choose an installation directory WITHOUT SPACES. Therefore you should
accept the default values. Changing to Program Files does not work.

Change to all users

After the installation you will probably see the following window to choose the Hyperworks
installation directory. After you click OK you get an error message.

Now please run a command prompt as administrator and navigate to the ACUSIM installation
directory. CD down to bin and start the command: acuSetHW.bat.
Make sure the installation path points to the Altair Hyperworks 11 installation and click OK.

All done..
