Board for Audit
Board duties

- Discusses audit reports of the Audit office supreme office for the Republic of
Srpske Public sector auditing
- Discusses annual audit plans for Audit office
- Returns initiative for the evaluation of Audit office every four years
- If necessary, requests from the Audit office to perform a special audit
- Determines salaries of the Auditor General and his Deputy
- Returns a proposal to the National Assembly on the budget reduction of
budget users based on audit reports
- Approves the annual budget request made by Audit office
- Every year in September or October Board for audit forwards two reports to
the National Assembly for consideration (audited report on Consolidated
Governments reports and report about work and activities Audit office)
Principe of work
Principe of work is as follows:
 We receive reports from Audit office
 Then we send these reports to the member of Board,
which consists of nine members (because it is
impossible that all members review all received reports)
 After reading reports, each member of the Board
presents his views with arguments and
recommendations in case any of these audit reports
should be forward to consideration to the National
Assembly
 After the Board makes decision about forwarding reports
to the National Assembly, Board organizes public
hearings
 After the public hearing Board makes its conclusions and
views which are discussed at the session of the
Assembly
Public hearings

In case of all negative reports we organized


public hearings.
The public hearings are attended by
representatives of the Audit office (the
Auditor-General with assistants),
representatives of the Institution audited,
representatives of the relevant ministries
and the media (the public)
The results of public hearings are less
negative audited reports than in previous
years and bigger responsibility of budget
users in spending public money.
