Construction Project on Edison Avenue, Princeton Avenue, Tillbury Avenue,
Kenwood Avenue and Avondale Avenue

CONSTRUCTION NOTICE UPDATE
July 2014

Dear Homeowner or Resident,
This letter is in addition to the letter sent at the beginning of July 2014 regarding the City of Ottawa
commencing of construction work in your neighbourhood. This work is being conducted to
rehabilitate the roadway, sewer and watermain in your community.

WHO: The Contractor Ottawa Greenbelt Construction will be performing the construction work
for the City of Ottawa.

WHY: The City of Ottawa will be proceeding with construction due to age and condition of the
existing watermain and sewers.
WHAT: Work will involve the rehabilitation of the sewer, watermain and roadway in your
community. Traffic will be restricted to local traffic only. No interruptions to buses
unless slight delays on a weekend but OC Transpo will be notified. Full accessibility for
pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained.
WHEN: The first stage of work in 2014 is underway on Princeton Avenue with limits being
extended from Denbury Avenue to Edison Avenue. Now that the construction of
Churchill Avenue is coming to an end, we will be advancing the construction work on
Tillbury Avenue between Churchill Avenue and Edison Avenue along with a portion of
Edison Avenue south of Dovercourt Avenue. Construction work will stop late this fall
once the road is paved and will re-start in the spring 2015.

The second stage of construction will occur during 2015 and will include the remainder
of Edison Avenue up to Ravenhill Avenue, Avondale Avenue and Kenwood Avenue.
Another Notice will be distributed in the spring of 2015 to advise of the re-start of
construction after the winter. Most work is expected to be complete by December 2015.

The final stage of construction will occur in spring 2016 with remaining landscaping and
paving of the road.

WHERE: Edison Avenue (Tillbury Avenue to Ravenhill Avenue), Princeton Avenue (Denbury
Avenue to Edison Avenue), Tillbury Avenue (Edison Avenue to Churchill Avenue),
Kenwood Avenue (Edison Avenue to Churchill Avenue) and Avondale Avenue (Edison
Avenue to Churchill Avenue).
Every effort is being made to reduce the duration of the construction impacts in your
community.

Madame, Monsieur,
La prsente lettre sajoute celle qui a t envoye au dbut du mois de juillet 2014 concernant le
lancement de travaux de construction par la Ville dOttawa dans votre voisinage. Ces travaux visent
remettre en tat la chausse, les gouts et la conduite deau principale de votre communaut.

QUI : Ottawa Greenbelt Construction est lentrepreneur qui excutera les travaux de
construction pour la Ville dOttawa.

POURQUOI : La Ville dOttawa doit effectuer ces travaux en raison de lge et de ltat de la conduite
deau principale et des gouts existants.
QUOI : Les travaux comprennent la remise en tat des gouts, de la conduite deau principale
et de la chausse de votre communaut. Seule la circulation locale sera autorise.
Aucune interruption du service dautobus nest prvue. Il pourrait y avoir de lgers
retards une fin de semaine, dont OC Transpo sera avis. Le secteur demeurera
entirement accessible aux pitons et aux cyclistes.
QUAND : La premire tape des travaux prvus pour 2014 a dbut sur lavenue Princeton. Elle
stend de lavenue Denbury lavenue Edison. Maintenant que les travaux sur
lavenue Churchill tirent leur fin, nous allons entreprendre les travaux sur lavenue
Tillbury, entre lavenue Churchill et lavenue Edison, ainsi que le long dune partie de
lavenue Edison situe au sud de lavenue Dovercourt. Les travaux seront interrompus
la fin de lautomne, une fois la chausse pave, et reprendront au printemps 2015.

La deuxime tape des travaux aura lieu en 2015 et concernera le reste de lavenue
Edison jusqu lavenue Ravenhill, lavenue Avondale et lavenue Kenwood. Un autre
avis sera envoy au printemps 2015 afin dinformer les rsidents de la reprise des
travaux suite la pause hivernale. La majorit des travaux devrait tre termine en
dcembre 2015.

La dernire tape des travaux se droulera au printemps 2016 et comprendra
lamnagement paysager et lasphaltage final de la chausse.

O : Avenue Edison (entre les avenues Tillbury et Ravenhill), avenue Princeton (entre les
avenues Denbury et Edison), avenue Tillbury (entre les avenues Edison et Churchill),
avenue Kenwood (entre les avenues Edison et Churchill) et avenue Avondale (entre les
avenues Edison et Churchill).
Tout sera mis en uvre pour limiter la dure des inconvnients causs par les travaux
de construction dans votre secteur.
