A snake Charmers Story


Snake charmers are people who seem to be
able to control snakes and make them move
by playing music to them and entertaining
people.
The community of snake charmers is called as
Kalbeliyas.
Snake charmers entertain people with snakes
and also provide them medicines.
Snake charmers know everything about
snakes.

There are poisonous and non-poisonous
snakes. Poisonous snakes have fangs in their
mouth. The poisonous teeth of snakes are
called as fangs.
Poison from the fangs of snakes is called as
venom.
Some people kill snakes to get venom and
also the skin.
To protect snakes and other wild animals
government has passed a law that prevents
people from catching and keeping of wild
animals.
Kalbeliyas now are also not able to catch and
keep snakes. Now they are finding their
livelihood by playing been party.
Kalbeliyas use instruments like tumba, been,
dhol, Kanjiri in been party.
Russells viper, Cobras, Saw-scaled viper and
the common Krait are the poisonous snakes in
India.
People also use other animals for different
purposes.
Animals used for amusement purpose in zoo,
circus, national parks, cinemas, amusement
parks, road plays, aquariums etc.
We use animals for our livelihood. Animals
used for livelihood are cow, goat, sheep,
horse, camel, hen, fish, etc.
