CCSA visits the River Project at Pier 40 on the Hudson

River Park

What?

What are we going to do?
We are going to The River Project. It is a marine science
field station founded that works to protect and restore
the ecosystem of the Hudson River estuary through
scientific research, hands-on environmental education,
and urban habitat improvement.
WHO?

Who are we going with?
Trippers and Ms. Josies classes are going on this trip
with Ms. Kate.
WHERE?

Where will we go?
The Hudson River Project is located off Pier 40 in the
Hudson River Park. We will take a school bus all the
way from the east side of Manhattan to the west side of
Manhattan.
WHEN?

When will we go?
We are going on Friday, August 1
st
, 2014. We will leave
CCGS at 9:10. The presentation starts around 10:00 and
ends around 11:30. We will be flexible with time. After
the presentation we will eat lunch at the park, if the
weather is nice.
WHY?

Why will we go?
We are learning about science in the city. The River
Project is a great way to see marine biology in our own
Hudson River!





How will we get there?
We are going to take a bus!




This is where we are going. It is a pier in the Hudson
River.





After the presentation we will eat lunch on the grass
at the Hudson River Park.






How do we go back to CCGS?

We will take the bus again!



We will come back to CCGS and relax before dismissal.
