Objective: Using your deep understanding of the text, create an alternate ending to the story. You must choose either an imaginative fictional ending or a believable true ending. Your group will choose a project to complete with all members helping to plan the project, create the artifacts, and present your final ending. Students will also complete a written one page reflection explaining why your ending is believable or why it should be considered fictional using evidence from your project.
Project Options:
Video Clip: Students will complete a video clip performing the alternate ending. All participants must contribute to the planning, videoing (acting, filming, editing), and presentation. Video must be at least 3 minutes, and no more than 7 minutes. Videos may be emailed to me before your presentation for a final review.
Book Cover: Students will create a book cover illustrating their alternate ending, including a written summary of the new ending. The book cover will be illustrated on a poster board. All participants must contribute to the planning, illustrating, summarizing, and presentation. Summary must be one half to one full page, typed, using Times New Roman font, size 12double spaced.
Poem/Rap: Students will create a poem or rap explaining their alternate ending, including a poster showing the poem or lyrics. All participants must contribute to the planning, writing, and presentation. Each member is responsible for at least 8 lines of the poem or rap.
