Summary of the Situation

The AFL claims it is concerned about the welfare of the players who were administered
substances at Essendon
The AFL believed in 2011 that Essendon may have been taking performance enhancing drugs.
The AFL and the media believe Hird. should have stopped the supplementation program in 2012,
despite Hird being convinced it was above board
Although the AFL was concerned for the health of the players in 2011 and 2012, it never once
warned the players or the club to stop taking substance A, B, C, D etc
The AFL never checked once in 2011 and 2012 whether Essendon was keeping records of its
injecting program. The AFL allowed the program to continue despite believing the players
health were at risk.

Questions:

If you were an Essendon player who suffered health problems down the track, would you sue the
AFL and its key staff for negligence or Essendon?
Many of you have helped destroy Hirds life. How do you justify going after him for not
stopping the supplementation and yet dont say a word about the AFLs failure to stop it.
The last research I saw about the job respect totem pole, journalists were fourth last. Only the
ladies of the night, politicians and used car salesmen were behind journalists.
After the last 18 months I know where journalists would now rank.
