What You Will Learn

The Advanced Diploma prepares you to put into practice the basis of homeopathic
medicine: 'similia similabus curantur,' or 'like cures like.' This refers to the principal
of treating patients with dilute doses of substances that in cruder forms would cause
similar symptoms to those presented.

There is nothing dilute about the course, however - it's the most comprehensive
homeopathy course in Australia. Providing extensive theory and practical experience,
the course ensures you hit the professional ground running.

First Aid and Clinical Training

This homeopathy course requires first aid training as part of the course curriculum.
First aid courses which meet the national competencies for the National Training
Package HLTFA301B - Apply First Aid (including St. John Ambulance Senior First Aid
Certificate) will be recognised for this course.

You will also be required to complete clinical training which you can undertake at
ACNT's campus in Sydney. If you are studying by distance education and live outside
of Sydney, you can undertake your training at an approved local clinic or practice.

Will ACNT help me find a job once I graduate?
ACNT provides a web-based Job Finder service for students, graduates and
employers alike. Updated on a daily basis, you'll find an array of job opportunities
listed, both local and international.
The Job Finder is used by prospective employers to specifically target ACNT
graduates, many of whom have been employed by industry leaders such as
Blackmores, GNC LiveWell, Chiva Som and Steiner Leisure.

Is VET FEE-HELP available?
This course offers Vocational Education and Training (VET) FEE-HELP.
VET FEE-HELP assists eligible students undertaking certain diploma and advanced
diploma courses by paying for all or part of their tuition costs.
If you are eligible, you do not need to pay your fees upfront. Instead, the total cost
of your fees can be repaid through the taxation system.
Under current legislation, you don't make repayments until your income reaches a
minimum threshold of A$43,150 per annum (2009-2010). Contact a SEEK Learning

Can I get hands-on experience in a real-world setting?
ACNT has student clinics at its campuses, where you can treat patients under the
supervision of expert practitioners. Throughout your programme, your progress will
be monitored and you'll be taught how to record clinical data and liaise professionally
with your patients.

Where are the ACNT campuses located?

What resources do I need for distance education?
You'll need a computer with Internet access, PDF reader and word processor, and an
email address.

What kind of student support will I receive?
All students have access to the Student Portal, which allows you to check your own
academic records and fee balances online. You will also have access to the Online
Student Centre, which contains links to news, course information, professional
associations and other relevant resources.
Administrative support is also available, with a turnaround time of 24 hours during
weekdays.
If you are studying by distance education, a tutor will be assigned to you. You will
also receive a comprehensive study guide that walks you through your course.

Is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) available?
