The white (visible) cells in each row represent the notes of the morphed raga, using the note in column A of the respective row as the graha swara. E.g.:
Shuddha Madhyamam
Shuddha Rishabham
Shadjam Prati Madhyamam
Index of Notations:
Panchamam
Reading row 10 when doing a Grahabhedam on Mohanam means using the R2 as the grahaswara -> leads to S-R2-M1-P-N2-S = Madhyamavathi
How to read the output:
Reading row 17 when doing a Grahabhedam on Mohanam means using the D2 as the grahaswara -> leads to S-G2-M1-P-N2-S = SuddhaDhanyasi
Instructions:
Press the button labelled "Clear Inputs" at top left corner of the sheet to start afresh.
Enter the number "1" in the YELLOW cells under each of the swara-sthanas that are present in the base raga you wish to check (E.g. Mohanam would have "1" under R2, G3, P & D2. S is selected by default.)
The calculator works directly only for Upanga ragas, preferably with a symmetric and non-vakra Arohanam and Avarohanam structure.
If an asymmetric raga (e.g. JayaManohari) has to be checked, please check the Arohanam and Avarohanam separately.
The notes in column A represent the available notes for Grahabhedam.
