Endgame Series Presents: The Rookford Files

One of the most common endgames you will come across is rook and
pawn endgames. Below, we see an example.
Helpful Rule: If the pawn is near promoting and the king is helping, a
draw will likely be the result. In the next example, the rook can cut of
the king with Rb4. Separating the king and pawn is one way to win. In
the example on the right, whites king is close enough he can come and
save the day.
