Two Row Textured Infinity Scarf

by Stephanie Jones

This simple pattern is easy to customize and quick to work up. Knit and purl
stitches are used to create an interesting texture with only 2 repeating rows.

Materials:
- 4 balls of Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Tweed in Down Heather (Worsted)
- US 11 (8 mm) straight needles
- tapestry needle

Note: You could adapt this pattern to work with a wide variety of yarn weights,
changing the needle size as you see fit. For my example, I used 2 strands
of Worsted Weight Yarn held together.

Directions:

CO 19 stitches using your preferred method.
(I used a crochet provisional cast on so I could use the kitchener stitch to join
my two ends and create a more subtle seam.) This step is entirely up to you, but
know that youll eventually be seaming your two ends.

Set up row: K3, (P1, K1, P1, K2) 3 times, K1

Row 1: Slip 1 knitwise, K1, (P1, K1) 8 times, K1

Row 2: Slip 1 knitwise, K2 (P1, K1, P1, K2) 3 times, K1

Repeat these 2 rows for the length of the scarf.

Heres a chart version:

row1 S V V V V V V V V V V
row2 V V V V V V V V V V V V S
row1 S V V V V V V V V V V

row1 S V V V V V V V V V V

S =SlipKnitwise

Once youve reached your desired length, bind off (unless youre planning to do the
Kitchener stitch), seam the two ends together, and weave in the ends. For my
example, I knit until the scarf could be wrapped three times around the neck.
