Product installation
LiveText is designed to get you u% and running &ast'
Run the software direct from the CD
To run LiveText directly &ro" the C()*+!, si"%ly insert it into your C()
*+! drive, and it -ill run auto"atically.
Note: I& the C( &ails to autorun, o%en the C( &older, click LiveText.exe and
run so&t-are &ro" there.
Network installation
The so&t-are has a single standalone license and there&ore is unsu%%orted
.unlicensed/ to be %ut on net-orks including CC0.
Note: For CC0 users -e reco""end the use o& 1irtual C( i& "ulti%le
student use is re#uired.

Troubleshooting: locked !ctive Content
The local settings on your PC "ay block content or ask %er"ission to %lay
active content or Active2 controls. These notes -ill give you instructions on
ho- to change this setting to i"%rove your e3%erience o& using this so&t-are.

In your bro-ser -indo- under the Tools "enu at the to% o& the screen there is
an o%tion called 4Internet +%tions4. Select this o%tion and a table o& o%tions
-ill be %resented as sho-n belo-.

Fro" the list o& tabbed o%tions you -ill need to select the 4Advanced4 tab.
5ou -ill then be %resented -ith a list o& settings -hich can be scrolled do-n
as sho-n in the sa"%le screen shot belo-.

Scroll do-n the list o& settings until you co"e to the 4Security6 settings and -e
advise that you select:

Click 4A%%ly4 and restart your co"%uter.

Troubleshooting: 'lash Pla(er "ecurit( )ssue
Fro" Flash Player 9 on-ards, !acro"edia have introduced ne- security
settings -hich -ill reduce the chance o& viruses entering your co"%uter &ro"
the internet. As a result o& this you "ay initially &ind it di&&icult to access the
activities -ithin this so&t-are. This "ay "ani&est itsel& in a nu"ber o& -ays, &or

Instead o& an activity, you "ay see a %ale grey bo3 or a blank -hite s%ace
Clicking on a "enu button "ay not actually o%en anything
In order to avoid these %roble"s, you need to register this %roduct as a
trusted source. 5ou can do this in &our si"%le ste%s.
Points to note:
I& your PC has "ore than one log)in, each user -ill need to take the &our ste%s
to access this %roduct.
