LIFE GROUPS GRADUATION
It's that time again...our children's ministries will "graduate/promote"
our students to the next grade level in their Life Groups Sunday
School. Sunday, August 17, at 9:45am, parents and kids are invited to meet
in the Kids Church area (Room 111) and move on to their new
groups! Please contact the church office or see Doreen Davis for more
information!
BRIDAL SHOWER
The church family is invited to a bridal shower for Brittney Shaeffer
on Sunday, August 24, at 2:30PMin the Fireside Room. Brittney is
registered at Target and Bed Bath & Beyond. Contact the church office for
more information.
ALL-CHURCH MEETING
Pastor is calling an all-church meeting on Sunday, August 24,
at 6PM! Important topics will be addressed and a call to prayer will be
given as we anticipate the working of the Lord at Grace Church! All
members and friends of Grace Church are strongly encouraged to attend
this meeting!
LADIES OF GRACE GETAWAY
Those who have signed up and paid the deposit for this great getaway are
asked to submit their final payment of $60by September1! Please make
your checks payable to "Grace Church the Nazarene" and mark them
"Ladies Trip." See Halisha Sturm with any questions. A meeting will take
place on Sunday, August 31, immediately following the morning worship
service in the conference room!
VOTE YES ON 1
YES on 1 is a community-based outreach to raise awareness of the proposed
pro-life constitutional amendment slated for public vote on November 4,
2014. Local committees in support of YES on 1 are being developed in
communities, counties, churches and campuses across the state. Because of
a radical 4-1 ruling by the Tennessee Supreme Court in 2000, Tennessee
now boasts a broader right to abortion than that recognized by Roe v.
Wade or the U.S. Constitution.
Why Yes on 1? Vote Yes on 1 to open the door for informed consent for
women and girls considering abortion, inspection or regulation of abortion
facilities, and hospitalization requirement for later term abortions. For
