All general School Policies are to be followed as written in the Student Handbook and oral policies as explained by Principal Smith.
Classroom Rules and Policies: Students are expected to come to class on time with all materials they need. Students are expected to have notebooks, computers, and all necessary utensils ready for use when class begins.
Expectations: Students will take notes on video lessons the nights they are assigned and return the next day with those notes to show the teacher this is worth half of their assignment grade. Students will complete an assessment after completing problem sets for each section of material covered; this will be the other part of their daily assignment grade for each section.
Special items: Students will need a ruler and compass for different constructions we will be creating in class and out of class.
Expected behavior: Respect each others space, property and opinions.
Grading: Students Grades will be determined by the following break down
55% Notes/Assessments/Daily Work 45% Tests
The notes are a mandatory part of the daily work. If notes are not presented and ready at the beginning of class there will be a one point deduction from the max 4 points possible on that set of notes, if the notes are late by more than 2 days students will loose a maximum of 2 points from the 4 point total. If no notes are presented students will earn a zero score for the notes.
Grading scale: 98% = A+ 93%= A 90%=A- 88%=B+ 83%= B 80%=B- 78%= C+ 73%=C 70%=C- 68%=D+ 63%=D 60%=D-
Anything below 60% is an F
I will be in touch with students when their specific test days are and if a student is absent during a test day, they are responsible for getting in contact with me to set up a time before/after school or during a study hall to make up that test.
Availability: I will be available before and after school in my room 380.
