Based on my results from the pre/post test data, my students clearly gained a furthered understanding of the Combined Gas Law. As the table above shows, the students entered the lesson not knowing much about the law and how to use it. By the end of the lesson, however, the students showed a substantial increase in their scores, reflecting their furthered understanding due to instruction. After grading their post-lesson tests, I did find a couple of areas that I could have improved upon in my lecturing. The primary area students struggled with was the mechanics of the problems (significant figures, correct units, etc.). Many of the students knew how to perform the mathematical operations of the problems, but they didnt know what their numerical answers represented in respect to the problem at hand. Because of the results I gathered from the students pre-lesson and post-lesson exams, I conclude that spending more time with the mechanics of these types of problems will be very beneficial for the students in future endeavors with these lessons. 0.00% 10.00% 20.00% 30.00% 40.00% 50.00% 60.00% 70.00% 80.00% 90.00% 100.00% S1 S2 S3 S4 S5 S6 S7 S8 Percent Increase Percent Increase
