The Distance between Nerves
Aim: To find the distance between nerves in the finger tip, heel of the palm, forearm,
upper arm and shoulder.
Method:
Step 1: Prepare apparatus as shown below.





Step 2: Mark a cross on the fingertip and place both points on the centre of it so your
partner can only feel one point.
Step 3: Move one point 1mm out from the cross. Continue until partner can feel two points.
Step 4: Measure distance between
points when two points are felt.
Repeat three times for accuracy.
Step 5: Repeat on heel of palm,
forearm, upper arm and shoulder.
Results:
Toothpicks
Stickytape (to hold the toothpicks
onto the chopsticks)
