India is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by area, the


second-most populous country with over 1.3 billion people. The population of
India is increasing because people keep having large amounts of babies. The
capital: New Delhi, language is Hindi and English and the President is Pranab
Mukherjee.
Seasons: seasons in India is winter December to February, summer March to
May, monsoon (rain) season June to September, and post monsoon October to
November.
Climate: Summer and winter 32-10oc and in Monsoon and Post Monsoon it is
20-5oc.
Religion: 80.5% Hinduism, Islam 13.8%, Christianity 2.4%, Sikhism 1.9%,
Buddhism 1.5% and Jainism 0.4%.
Flag: The National Flag of India is a rectangular with white and green; with the
Asoka Chakra, a 24-spoke wheel, in navy blue at its middle. It was made in 22
July 1947 when it became the official flag of the Dominion of India then it was
changed as the flag of the Republic of India. The flag is based on the Swaraj flag,
a flag of the Indian National Congress made by Pingali Venkayya.
