Dear Parents/Confirmation Students: Welcome back to confirmation! We will be finishing up the Bible Handbook this fall during the month of September. I am asking that all workbook assignments must be completed and tests taken prior to September 28. Much grace has been given in this area and I would expect that this can be accomplished. If there are any questions please do not hesitate to ask me. The Bible Examination that will occur on September 28 will cover everything that we have learned since last fall. I will grade this Pass/Fail because I want our confirmation students to learn and master objectives rather than just take the test for the sake of taking a test.
Once we have finish the New Testament we will move into our final year together using Luthers Small Catechism. There is much to cover so keep on task and focused will be very important. Also please set aside the following date for the first ever Iowa Mission District Fall Confirmation Gathering. This will take place on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at First Lutheran Church, Manchester. We will leave church right after worship and return once the gathering is finished. The theme of this event will be Catechism for Life and feature district pastors along with a time to meet other confirmation students in our district. I am asking that you sign the bottom of this letter and return it to me so that I know you have received it. Please let me know if you have any questions Rev Kris L.
