Labuche Appears at Saturday Concert

This Saturday evening, August 10, the Mississippi River Sculpture Park will be sharing a
special event with the Villa Louis, our neighbor on St. Feriole Island in Prairie du Chien.
The next statue planned for the Sculpture Park will join others attending the concert on the
lawn of the state historical site. A flesh-and-blood Marianne Labuche will share her story during
the intermission between the two halves of the performance by La Barge, a father-daughter band
that specializes in river-inspired music. Special tours of the historic Victorian mansion will begin at
5 p.m.
The concert begins at 7 p.m., and the famous nineteenth-century Prairie du Chien healer
will appear at roughly 7:45.
If you can't come for the concert and special intermission, you can help Aunt Marianne
secure a permanent spot in the Sculpture Park by sending a donation to the address in the box
below.
