Sorting Activity
Science Standard: 2-1.1 Carry out simple scientific investigations to answer
questions about familiar objects and events.
Technology Standard: ISTE 3. Research and information fluency b. Locate,
organize, analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and ethically use information from a variety
of sources and media.

My Scanning Activity:
South Carolina Social Studies Standard: The student will demonstrate an
understanding of places and regions in South Carolina and the role of human
systems in the state.
Indicator: 3-1.1 Categorize the six landform regions of South Carolinathe Blue
Ridge, the Piedmont, the Sand Hills, the Inner Coastal Plain, the Outer Coastal
Plain, and the Coastal Zoneaccording to their climate, physical features, and
natural resources.
ISTE Standard: 1. Creativity and innovation a. Apply existing knowledge to
generate new ideas, products, or processes.

Students will categorize the six landform regions of South Carolina out of
clay/PlayDough.
Students will use various ingredients (chocolate chips, green skittles, and
blue M&Ms, etc.) to show the different landform regions.
Students will scan their finish landform region products and the teacher will
display their work in the hall.
Scanning the students will allow them to eat their regions
