This manual is made for use on as many occasions as possible. It intentionally ignores which
specifications, which features and which functions should be purchased additionally; or which are

1.2 About This Manual

This manual is written under the assumption that the products is ready to work in the way they are
supposed to. And, the aim of this manual is how to use and configuration. For the questions
relating to why a function/feature cannot be found in your particular products, check up the Multisuns
authorized distributors.


1.3 The ConferLink DISCUSS

The ConferLink DISCUSS is an optional computer software package plus a N-port hub for the computer
to connect with ConferLink CL-800(s) V2.0 is employed. ConferLink DISCUSS provides the innovative
way to conduct and manage conference meeting thru its ease of use interfaces at a touch of a button.


1.4 System Requirements

PC or notebook running Windows 2000 or XP with at least 5MB of free hard disk space.
One or Two units of 8-chs ConferLink CL-800(s) V2.0.
PSTN / PBX: Analog interface.
Environment: LAN network for communication between PC and ConferLink CL-800 V2.0.

Chapter 2 ConferLink CL-800 V2.0 & DISCUSS Hub Installation

2.1 For a CL-800 V2.0:
Below is the DISCUSS Hubs wiring installation while only one unit of CL-800 V2.0 is used.


Note:
The DISCUSS Hub (NPort) shall be connected to the same network segment as the PC you installed with
DISCUSS software.


2.2 For two units of CL-800 V2.0:
Below is the DISCUSS Hubs wiring installation while two units of CL-800s are used. You are first
requiring to stack and link the two CL-800 V2.0s together with our provided Audio Cable (white
color) and Data Cable (black color).



Note:
The DISCUSS Hub (NPort) shall be connected to the same network segment as the PC you installed with
DISCUSS software.

2.2.1 Dip Switch Setting:
While two CL-800 V2.0 are used together, you are requiring to set the dip switch as below.




2.3 DISCUSS Hub Connection (Closer Look):

Chapter 3 ConferLink DISCUSS Installation

3.1 Install DISCUSS software

1. Click Install DISCUSS Program from the pop-out auto run program to start installation.

2. Select your preferred language, then click OK.



3. Select ONE or TWO CL-800 is used with the DISCUSS software, then click NEXT.



Tick ID=9 And ID=10 if two units of CL-800 is used



Tick ID=9 if only one unit of CL-800 is used

Remark:
Ignore the third selection ID=10. We have now standardized to use ID=9 while DISCUSS software
is used with only one CL-800 V2.0.

4. Select your destination folder, then click INSTALL.



5. CLOSE the setup window, after completed installation.




3.2 Configure InitNPort

1. After installing the ConferLink DISCUSS software, the InitNPort window will popped-up with its
detected IP as below if the Discuss HUB (NPort) is connected with all cables plugged in correctly.



2. Copy the IP down on Entry IP from Auto Search IP.



3. Entry the unused COM port for the Discuss Hub (NPort), then press OK.



Remark:
COM 5 is the first recommend as it is rarely used by other devices. Then we suggested COM 3,
and COM 7 respectively if either one is used.

4. Open the dispatcher.exe to check if the InitNPort is correctly configured.



Remark:
The dispatcher.exe is located at the C:\Program Files\Discuss by default, or where you save
the ConferLink DISCUSS software initially.

5. After opened the dispatcher.exe, a screen as below will pop-up with response if the
InitNPort is correctly configured.



Remark 1:
The dispatcher.exe will not be loaded if the InitNPort is configured incorrectly.

Remark 2:
The dispatcher.exe will show the respond both ID=9 & 10 if it was choose initially. In other
hard, the dispatcher.exe will only show the response of ID=9 if it was choose initially.

3.3 Install NPort Administration Suite

1. Press NEXT to start the NPort installation



2. Click NEXT for the followings, unless you would like to select a different folder





3. Click INSTALL to start installing the NPort Administration Suite



4. Click NEXT to continue with setup NPort Administration Suite



5. Click FINISH to exit the NPort Administration Suite setup window
