The Lion and the Mouse - Fable

A little mouse was passing through a lions den. The lion caught him and was
about to smash him when the little mouse spoke, Sir, please let me go, and
will do !ou a good turn one da!, "or sparing m! li"e.#
The lion was rather amused to hear this, thinking, $hat good can he do me. . .
# but he let him go.
Two weeks later, some huntsmen came to the same "orest and spread a net
around
the lions den. The lion was captured. %e struggled hard to set himsel" "ree but
he soon realised he was trapped. %e roared with anger.
The little mouse was looking "or "ood, when he heard the lions roar. %e ran to
him. Seeing the lion caught in the net, he started gnawing at it at once. The
mouse had sharp teeth and he soon "reed the lion.
