Today I am going to tell you a story about THE LION AND THE
MOUSE

THE LION AND THE MOUSE

A mouse happened to run into a lion's cave one day. It was so dark that she did not see the lion
sleeping inside. She bumped right into his nose and woke him up.

The lion gave a ROAR and caught the little mouse in his giant paws. The frightened little mouse
pleaded, "Oh great king of all animals, please do not kill me. You never know, one day I may
be able to help you!"

The lion laughed HA HA HA at the thought that such a small creature might be able to help him
at all. He did not have the heart to kill her, so he said, "Go away before I change my mind!"

A few days later, the lion was out hunting for food when he fell into a hunter's net. The lion
ROARED loudly when he found that he could not escape from it.

The mouse heard the lion's ROAR and quickly came to see what had happened. When she saw
that he was trapped on the net. She started using her sharp teeth to bite through the net. tssst
tssst tssst tsst tsst . Soon she made a hole big enough for the lion to crawl through and be free.
The surprised lion was the mouse's best friend from that day on.
The moral value is, no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
